This way I always have the camera up and running with no down time. Before I would have to risk having one night off while charging the original battery.

Otherwise I would have to spend hours without an active doorbell camera while the single battery charges. Definitely worth it!

My ring 3 uses the battery in 3 weeks of use due to my location.

Your battery dies out within a month or so depending how you have it set up. Best idea to have a charged up battery waiting. Easy to put it too

I decided to purchase an additional battery after reading it would take 5-10 hours to recharge. This will allow me to not have to have down time.
