Battery really drains on the ring if you really want to capture everything. It is a good idea to have this as a back up.

It was a little hassle to change them every few days, but they get the job done

It's a battery for Ring devices

You have a nasty shadow that drains your batteries for any of those devices? Another battery is necessary.
