The original fits the doorbell perfectly and charged up as the manufacturer stated. It has been lasting a long time but I want to be ready with this back up unit for when the original needs to be recharged. No down time this way. Always on the go and recording. Got to have the power! Definitely recommend using this brand name unit vs. an off brand made for.

Having longevity in a battery-powered security device is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home, especially if you are away for long periods of time. We are here to provide you with some education to resolve the battery life issue you mentioned in your review.
The Ring Quick Release Battery is a rechargeable battery pack for your compatible Ring Video Doorbell, Ring Security Camera, or Ring Solar Floodlight, so you'll always have backup power ready to go. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal performance.
The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using "Live View" often can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. To prevent excessive activity, under "Motion Settings" for your device in the Ring app you can:
Adjust your "Motion Sensitivity" slider to a lower sensitivity.
Redraw your "Customizable Motion Zones."
Change "Motion Frequency" to regularly or periodically.
You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.
You can go to "Power Settings" in the Ring app to see what features may be draining your battery. To access "Power Settings," open the Ring app:
Tap menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard. Tap "Devices."
Tap the individual device (video doorbell or security camera) you want to check. Tap "Power Settings "to check your "Battery Level" percentage and "Feature Power Usage."
Tap a feature to adjust "Snapshot Capture," "Motion Frequency" and "Video Recording Length."

They only come with 1 battery but can hold 2 batteries. The solar panels keep both batteroes completely charged even though our ring goes off and spotlights come on when wildlife come to yard. We are surprised that we never have to charge them Using 2 per camera may have been overkill but we can leave for vacation and don't worry about them draining out of energy. Best replacement battery for your ring camera!

I keep two on hand at all times so I can rotate them in my camera is never down. Swallow them out. Keep one charged don’t have to wire it into your house for that price. You can’t beat it and it’s original.

They charge easily, notify you when charging is complete, and they are extremely resilient to cold weather. Can’t go wrong with a genuine ring battery.

I like it because you just unscrew the bottom of the doorbell and you take the face cover off snap to add a battery out and snap this one here and then yours got a full battery and the batteries been lasting about three months or so.

Batteries hold a charge, charge in a reasonable amount of time, and are easy to swap out. My only gripe would be the price... a bit expensive for the capacity.

If you need a battery for the ring doorbell, forget the rest and get the best. Ok, so maybe it's the only battery option you have, but it's one heck of a good one. Comes with USB cable to charge it too! I highly recommend having a spare battery so that your house doesn't get robbed or your packages pinched from your porch because you let the stock battery die. You heard it here first.
