Having to unmount and recharge your device's battery as little as possible is the experience we strive for. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with some solar solutions that may be a good fit for your home's environment.

The Ring Solar Panel and Super Solar Panel are designed to provide power for charging the Ring Stick Up Cam and Spotlight Cam. Which product is right for you depends on two important factors:

Number of Motion Events per day: If your Ring device is in an area that detects more events every day than average (defined as 10+events per day) then your battery will drain faster and require more power or recharging more often.

Your Solar Environment: Warmer climates and areas that get less rain and cloud cover will get more kW of solar energy per day than rainier or cloudier zones. In such areas, having a larger solar panel may be a necessity for powering your Ring device.

First and foremost, we thank you for your business and the opportunity in serving your home security needs. We agree, it is essential that the battery hold a proper charge, as this extends the time between manual recharges. Please know that we are here to resolve these concerns with you today.

We understand that removing the included security screws to recharge your battery could be cumbersome. It is vital for these screws to be installed so people passing by can not unmount your device or remove the battery pack powering down the device. The rechargeable battery for your Ring doorbells and security cameras may not need recharging often, with normal use. This is dependent on a number of factors in your home environment, such as weather and the number of activities captured. Your battery is charged using a common micro-USB cable (an orange one is included in your Ring box). The micro-USB cable can be plugged into any USB power source, such as a computer. Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet. During charging, both the red and green lights will light up. Your battery is fully charged when the light on the battery shines a solid green.
