Your battery will take around five to 10 hours to fully charge depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or into a wall outlet. After charging the device, it should automatically reconnect to your wifi network without you having to complete a new setup.

Our top priority at Ring is to ensure that our customers have the best possible experience with our products and services. We truly value your feedback, because it helps us improve not only the product from a consumer standpoint but also our standards of service.

The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell, Ring Stick Up Cam, and Spotlight Cam Battery, the more the Ring Battery Pack is used to power the live HD Video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the Live View to look or speak through your camera. To prevent excessive activity, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, adjust the motion frequency to best fit your needs, or adjust the direction of your Ring device.

We understand the importance of having a long-lasting battery for your Ring device. It is critical for a home security device to have enough power to keep your device online and ready to protect you. We would love the opportunity to provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

It sounds like your battery is working great for you. You can help extend the longevity of your camera and doorbell batteries by not keeping them fully charged all the time. Ring is helping you do this by setting a charging limitation for all solar-powered doorbells and cameras, as well as plug-in and wired devices that also take a Quick Release Battery Pack. Keep in mind that certain Ring devices will hold your battery charge and not exceed a threshold of around 80 percent.
