Must Have Spare Battery !

Swap out the depleted batteries and replace them with your spare fully-charged ones without losing coverage. The charge time for these batteries (more than a few hours) also makes it practical to have some spares. Battery life on the cameras is satisfactory as well.

Do yourself a favor and get the official batteries

I have been using these in the spotlight cams along with a solar panel. These hold their charges much longer and lasts longer than a year. I had one of those generics that came with the solar panel, but less than a year later, it wouldn't hold a charge anymore. The official batteries have not wavered.

Battery Back Up

Very easy to use - will see how it stays charged from the solar panel over the winter months.

Nice to Have Back Ups

It is nice to have one or two extra batteries charged and ready. I have three Ring battery powered devices so I bought 2 extra batteries to have when needed.

Non Stop Surveillance !!!

The angle of the sun is different this time of year (October) So the solar panel doesn't keep it charged as much.But with a spare battery, it's an easy switch to keep it going! We could crawl up on the roof to change position of the solar panel.but being right outside my window is easier just to swap batteries every 2 weeks.

A second battery is a must have for Ring

Mine last over tw0 months before needing a charge. The Ring unit uses one battery until it gets low and then switched to the other battery. This gives you plenty of time to charge the battery that is low while still having full power and never losing video.
