We plan on using this battery as a back up for the solar panel that will run this camera in back. Very easy to use - will see how it stays charged from the solar panel over the winter months.

Great value just wish battery life would be longer

You can never have too many ring batteries, only one comes with the camera, so I bought a second one for added peace of mind, with a second battery, the camera last much longer because of the two battery system, it works off one at a time, so when one runs out you still have another to keep the system up, this way you can charge one at a time.

I purchased this Ring battery as a second battery for one of my Ring outside cameras. Ring cameras provide the capacity for two batteries, extending the time between changing out batteries to keep the camera operational. Once charged to 100% via the included charging cable, the battery was installed in the camera and worked as planned.

I bought this as a back up for the stick up cam. We got of camera powered by plug now, i wish that the ring cameras would build in a charger... i think it's one of the things they want to wait until you like the product for a few years, so you will buy the new cameras that have a charger built in. Sucks, but overall the battery is good, it does take a long time to charge. Depending on activity, low activity lasts over a month! Frequent activity 1 to 2 days.

Definitely helped buying the battery! My ring cameras are connected to the solar panel but for some reason my left camera was struggling to stay charged. When I bought a secondary battery, it finally stayed charged all the time and triggered the solar panel to work. Worth the purchase!

These ring batteries are long lasting, but it's always great to have a backup to swap since they take sooooo long to charge.

I have a wired stick up cam I wanted to have a battery back up. I have it in a somewhat higher traffic area. I wanted to test the battery so I unplugged the camera. It lasted about 8 hours fully charged. Granted, I have my camera set up to take stills every 30 seconds and others set to the highest quality. And again, in a higher traffic area. It was not an issue with constant power. On battery full time, better dumb the camera settings down. Overall, an extra 8 hours or more during a power outage isn’t bad. I guess in the end it wouldn’t matter anyways due to the internet would be out too.
