Very handy and I would highly recommend purchasing an extra battery pack so your camera does not have down time with out a battery. The pack charges quickly and lasts us 1 to 2 months. The cameras are in high activity zones so the motion is always turning the unit on.

This is a life saver it charges super fast and last a long time.

I installed this on my Spotlight cam, which has a slot for an extra battery. Combined with the Ring solar panel, I haven't had to get up on a ladder and swap out batteries since installation... and that's been just at four months now. Great addition to the camera. Very convenient.

I didn't want to be without the camera while the original battery recharged, so the obvious solution was a spare battery. The spare seems to hold a charge for quite awhile when not in use. Now I always have a spare and continuous use of the camera.

I love having a charged backup. With only one battery your Ring is unavailable while charging the battery. With a second one, when the battery needs charging, pop out the device, put the already charged battery in, and no downtime. Then charge the battery removed for the next time.
