This battery has been in my doorbell for over two weeks and it still says 44% battery left. I wanted to always have a spare battery so I wouldn't have to wait to charge the current one and then put it back. This is good if I can maybe get 3 weeks of battery charge.

I like how they arrive in a small easy box with a charging cord/cable attached. Tam glad especially for the price paid for these batteries there should be a cord attached for easy plug in charging.

Charges fairly slowly but once charged the battery does hold it's charge for quite a long time before needing to be recharged. Would definitely stick with the Ring brand vs a 3rd party battery

Recharging is usually done in a few hours and replacing the battery is easy to do. Having a second battery is necessary because the battery life advertised isn't accurate, at least not in New England. The battery has needed to be changed every month during the winter.

Keep an extra on hand!

Ot also depends on how long of a recording time and how often you go live. I have teo ring doorbells qnd one extra battery. I rotate the fresh one out when needed and always have one charged and ready. It is the only way to go.

Okay battery for its intended use

The batteries usual last about 30 days and I needed a replacement to swap them out. Because of the location of my camera I have now decided to purchase the ring solar panel. No more ladders to change out batteries.

Extra battery charges via solar panel

No one knew the answer so I decided to risk it. Turns out the answer is yes. I loaded it into the camera fully charged, but the solar panel just needs an hour a day of sunlight to charge both batteries. Yay!

Knowing that the primary battery would either need to be charged, the options were a solar panel or a spare battery. The latter option was best for us, as our porch is covered.

In the winter the battery always works but the power can get close to turning off. Adding a second battery ensures the camera always has enough juice. I've had this almost a year and it the available amps never gets below 97%
