These last a surprisingly long time. We did not want to pay an electrician to hardwire the doorbell, so nice that there is a long-lasting battery option.

Ring Battery for Ring Cameras

Now I only need to recharge both batteries twice a year. The price of $30 for the second battery is well spent!

Both require a battery due to electrical limitations. This battery is a must-have so that you always have a backup replacement. This way your device is down for a few minutes rather than several hours as you wait for the battery to charge.

However, it does take a long time ( 6 plus hours) to recharge. It’s good to have spare batteries that are already charged on hand to trade out.

So it's a good idea to invest in two batteries in each camera. P.S. the can't be hardwired or solar paneled due to the locations.
