I also bought 2 extra batteries so that when the current one needs to be charged, I will have one ready to immediately use with no down time. The Spotlight cam even has a space inside for the 2nd battery.

I would recommend for a complete charge that once the light turns green to let it charge a bit longer or your device will show 99% battery, but not a big deal. I have charged these batteries many times and have no issues with them at all.

After some research I found out that battery life depends on how the camera is set up (recording motion and motions alerts) this kinda makes sense, if you have it set up in a very high traffic area and want to record every little motion it detects and upload to the cloud then I would agree, you can’t expect the battery to last 6 months. setting can always be adjusted in less than 10 seconds so it should be a big deal or inconvenient for anyone.

Spotlight camera comes with one battery and has an extra slot to hold an additional battery. Took between 4 and 6 hours to charge. Comes with USB cable but not the plug in for the wall outlet.

I purchased this battery as a backup for my Ring Doorbell 2. It works just as well as the orginal battery that came with the Ring Doorbell 2. Store pickup was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend.
