I’ve been using Ring doorbell for a week and only down to 84%. But wife uses Ring Video Doorbell all the time to see who’s out front, probably 10 times a day for minute or so. You have to have a battery even if using low voltage wired set up. I bought 2nd battery as couldn’t use Ring hard wired. I don’t want to be offline and can take up to 10 hours to charge. You only need to loosen security screw on bottom of Ring 2 Video doorbell to release battery, remove faceplate, re-insert a battery and put faceplate back on and retighten security screw. Hex security screw so I just left the included screwdriver from Ring in drawer. Comes with Micro USB charging cord. I use Apple 5 watt sugar cube to charge.

Easy to switch out the battery and recharge. Depending on the activity it can last for days or even weeks off one charge.

It’s easy and it gets the job done, when the bottom light is green is fully charged

It's great to be able to just switch out the battery while the original charges, especially since it takes a while to do so. We're able to continue to have peace of mind without having to replace the entire unit.

Love having the convenience and ease of swapping out a battery. The prolonged life of a single charge is one for the books! So now when I need to swap out the long life lived battery for a fresh charged one, couldn't be easier!

You must have this for your Ring battery powered doorbell. This was a spare, the original lasts about 4 months and then you can replace and charge the dead one.

I worked very well. It did not take long to charge.

I have change all my cameras to Ring. This is my 10th. ring camera. This camera is easy to set up and communicate with the others. The picture quality is excellent and easy scroll back. Storage is good.

Perfect for any Ring product requiring battery use. We use it for the Ring 3 doorbell (battery powered). The Ring app notifies when the battery is getting low. We exchange the dead for the charged. I bought this during BF-2020. The extra, exchangeable battery and Ring doorbell still work perfectly. They function exactly the same today as they did one year ago. Great buys! Buy the extra battery! Life shouldn’t be so difficult but it usually is...take it easy; buy the entire product for total convenience,: or wait to buy until you get the entire set of needed parts. It’s totally worth it to have a back up that’s always charged and ready. I wasn’t going to include this but here goes... We would not have ever found our dog that was stolen from our front porch if we were waiting for a battery to charge & replace in our doorbell. We bought the extra from the start. When our German Shepard puppy was not on the porch where he stayed ALL.THE.TIME, our Ring told us the biggest part of WHY? We knew exactly which HUGE CORPORATION to contact after their delivery driver enticed our puppy into the back of that solid blue van. Their own product recorded the entire event. They were very helpful AFTER being sent the video recorded by the Ring doorbell. Our puppy was back home & safe within 24 hours. We were able to pick him up at the home he was given to. So, the point is BUY THE EXTRA BATTERY or buy the wired product; otherwise the purchase may be pointless! The time it took for this incident was less than 2mins. Ring captured all of it because we were not waiting for a working battery.
