So, the second battery is mandatory to keep security on.

Rechargeable battery for our Ring doorbell

There was a Ring doorbell installed but they didn't leave the charging device. Best Buy helped us buy a new battery. We're good to go now.

So far it’s been 3 weeks since I install the doorbell and it’s still at 85% charge. Must hold a charge well so haven’t had to use this one.

Also, since no one will ship Lithium Ion batteries to Hawaii, being able to pick-up in store was the only way to get one.
