This extra battery will allow service to continue uninterrupted when the device battery gets low. I expect several months of use from a battery.

Battery easy to charge and the longevity of the battery is about a month. So I would suggest if you only going to use battery power to get two batteries and alternate them.

Even thought the Ring devices are great on battery life I wanted a backup battery for the spotlight cam. I haven't even used 50% of the first battery after 2 weeks. It works for the doorbell as well.

Having a extra Ring doorbell makes it easy to swap out batteries without missing footage. It takes hours to charge but that charge lasts for months.

With the ring device you need two at the same time in order to not have to change the batteries on a regular basis. With 2 batteries I go almost 2 months to recharge both.

I needed this so I can run two batteries in my spot light camera. Takes a long time to charge, roughly 10 hours or so but last for 3 months before the next charging.

Easy to charge with charger. Not sure how charged it was out of box but it didn’t take long to get to full charge.
