    I LOVE my ring camera. It captures most movements, even flying bugs passing by. I only wish it had a wider range to capture.

    Need a new camera because old camera was blurry and one of lights went out. Was able to place it in the same spot and attachment in no time. Setup takes longer than expected due to the camera has to update.

    Best one yet love the color too then it’s not always in color in white bright. This one just seems a little bit better than the other ones I have.. can’t go wrong with just having a battery and most have the solar panel.. must have the professional monitoring …

    Installed overhead garage, good view & the light is bright, only thing runs out of battery couple of weeks. Likely purchase extra back up battery, Ring customer service not able to offer any solution.

    The ring spotlight was very easy to install and it was avoids having to run wiring all as indicated. The only issue I had is the detection range triggers on large objects like cars at a distance but is much less sensitive to humans than I would prefer.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. To begin troubleshooting the faulty battery port that is causing the device to always report the battery as dead, start by removing both batteries and carefully inspecting the battery port contacts for any dirt, debris, or corrosion. Gently clean the contacts using a dry cotton swab or soft, dry cloth, then reinsert the batteries firmly until they click into place. If the issue persists, try inserting a fully charged spare battery to determine whether the problem lies with the battery itself or the port. If a known good battery still shows as dead, this strongly points to a hardware defect in the port.

      Next, try restarting the device by pressing and holding the setup button for 10 seconds. After the restart, open the Ring app and navigate to Devices → Device Health to check whether the battery status has updated correctly. While in the Device Health section, also check whether a firmware update is available, as battery reporting issues can occasionally be caused by a software bug that an update may resolve.

If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the doorbell or camera to your network. To reconnect a Ring Spotlight Cam Plus to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the doorbell or camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.
