Purchased a ring Camera for my backyard was the greatest thing I could have ever purchased can see all movements in my backyard, light comes on with the slightest movement

I am a ring customer. I own two hard wired ring door bells and a hard wired ring flood light. So when I found someone trespassing on my property in a area that didn’t have a camera I turned to another ring product. The reason I don’t have a camera in this particular area is because I have no electric I could hard wire a video camera to. The battery operated spot light made sense to buy. It was easy to assemble, but that was the only good thing about this product. After I hooked up the spot light and the solar panel that they recommend to buy with it,I put a completely changed battery in and programmed the device to my other ring products. It work well for about two days then that was it. The battery kept draining too quickly. The battery lasted about two full days and that was with the solar panel attached. So I climbed up the 9ft ladder took out the battery and charged it , I also moved the solar panel to a better position so the sun can hit it more directly. Once the battery was charged I put it back in and again the battery drained in two full days. It turns out, since I live in a cold weather climate the battery drains too quickly once the temperature goes below 32f or 0 c. I knew this before I bought the product but they stated if the solar panel is connected and it receives 5 hrs of direct sunlight a day it will keep the battery charged. That was a complete fabrication. I positioned the solar panel on my roof that it received sunlight for the entire day and it only charged the battery about 15%. Not enough to keep the charge with the cold weather draining the battery so quickly.. I also discovered that if you have more than three ring products joined together that it slows the system down so there is delays to your video feeds,Horrible. I was very disappointed overall with this product and finding out that having more than three products on the same system delays the video feed. Never buy this product If you live in a cold climate or need more than three devices, definitely not worth the price.

Ring makes great products and stand by them. Super easy to setup and install. You'd be a fool not to purchase the accompanying solar panel. App is ready to use and user friendly. Great system for the money!

These cameras are great! The only issue I have is they are hyper sensitive, and although the advertised battery life is 6-12 months, I have found it to be more like 6-12 weeks. Nonetheless, I would still recommend these cameras, just make sure you buy a second battery!

This is a great camera with powerful lights. Really a good addition to your RING ecosystem. They recently added advanced motion zone settings making this even better. Can't go wrong here, buy it.

The Ring Spotlight Cams are pretty solid. The ability to add two batteries makes keeping them charged pretty easy, and adding the solar panel really helps. Great that wireless cams have come this far!

Love the spotlight camera. It is bright enough for me to see my door at night to unlock and also get great video on color at night.

camera worked for 3 weeks fine then all of sudden lost wifi and have been able to reset. Followed all instructions may try to take back and get new one. first time I have had this hapen out of 5 camera's.

great survellience camera for the money. Have it installed above the garage door, can see our entire driveway area. Nofications are great

Great, easy to install, and work great. I wish the lights were a bit brighter but for working off a battery and not being hard wired I'd be hard pressed to expect more.

I love the spot. I like it better then the door bell one. The lights are super bright camera is crystal clear love it. This is my second one and I’m looking at getting another one down the road.

I purchased these to compliment my security system already in place at my home. They were very easy to install and manage via the app on my iPhone. I love the alerts I get on my phone whenever there is activity the cameras pick up on.

Bought one for my Sister and she loves it. I had to install it for her but it wasn't that difficult. I would recommend it to any one who look for a security camera for their home.

Our house does not have an outside flood light so this camera is great at giving us some outside light at night. Camera was really easy to setup and we have no issues with the camera so far.

Bought two for front and back door.Battery doesnt last as long on back because we have a dog who activates it all the time. love beiing able to get notifications when Im not there so I can see what is going on when Im not home.

This simple set up and install spotlight and camera system is super helpful to cover those side areas and blind areas of your home that someone could use to gain access to your house. Will take this with me if I move.

We bought to of these to use in the backyard. Cameras were easy to set up and mount. Only issue was we had strengthen our network for them to stay connected easier. Also buy the extra battery it saves on the charging intervals.

We love these cameras!! The only thing is they don’t come with the battery fully charged. And you have to have a backup battery to install or buy wireless solar panels and install separately. Not told this in the store.

Good product. Does its work. However not much clarity on the image. Also it says the battery lasts 3 months. I bought 5 cameras. Two of them died in the second week and I don’t have much movement in the house. Also, the handle that holds the camera and helps to angle to correctly it’s very lose and it doesn’t sit in specific angles Like that they are wireless but too expensive for not providing a clear result, battery dying so fast, a monthly membership etc Not reccomended. Better buy the one with wire and drill it inside the wall and you are done ...
