Great Camera for a location without power

Solar power doesn’t charge fast batteries enough and when it snows, the lens gets covered in ice and snow. When battery drains it disconnects from Wi-Fi so I have to drive half hour to keep resetting the Wi-Fi connection. So not recommend.

Having longevity in a battery-powered security device, such as the Ring Spotlight Cam, is crucial when it comes to monitoring your home, especially if you are away for long periods of time. It sounds like the battery is draining faster than expected on your Ring Spotlight Cam. There are different settings that can be adjusted in the Ring app to help prolong the battery life of your device.
Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring App that allows you to customize Motion Alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life.
Ring devices detect motion patterns and frequencies. The Motion Frequency Controls help adjust the devices for repetitive patterns of motion. The following Motion Frequency Controls can be found in the Ring app:
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active, resulting in the shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Extremely cold weather has unfortunate effects on lithium-ion batteries, such as those used in Ring devices. As the temperature drops, these batteries begin to have trouble holding a charge, and if it gets cold enough, they'll stop working altogether. As a result, at certain temperatures, the batteries in your Ring device may run out of power faster than expected and may need to be recharged more often. If your device falls offline due to low power, it should reconnect itself once power is restored.

Only bad thing is that little spider that made a web in front of the camera. I will have to get some spray so he will stay away.

Installation is easy and I had this setup and running in less than 30 minutes.
