The batteries drain pretty quickly with increased surveillance times, so I'd recommend the solar charger. And the solar charger could use a longer cable.

I ended up going to buy this camera which works Great. I was concerned about the battery life on the camera but apparently they can go 6-9 months off one battery. On the plus side this camera can hold two batteries so im hoping to get a year out if it until I have to charge them.
