Not My Preferred Ring Camera

I use the wire free spotlight cam with a solar battery charger so I'm not changing the battery as often. It's a decent Ring if you're recording images closer to the camera. Good for lower level monitoring.

Your Ring Spotlight Camera is designed with a 1080p HD camera. If you are experiencing poor video quality when viewing both the live and recorded video in the Ring application, the problem is almost always some sort of wifi issue like signal or data loss. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router. They notified me of things ok for the most part. One of my cameras is in an area that gets VERY little action so i didnt hear much from it. The other is on the driveway. When the free 30 days ended i paid the subscription for the driveway only camera but not the side one that doesnt get much action anyway. Since im not paying for the side camera i get constant and i mean CONSTANT notifications all day long “ theres motion at your side”. Iv actually rigged it so it cannot get any action yet i still get these constant notifications! Clearly RING sends out constant fake notifications do that people will say “ohhh noo theres somebody there!!! I dont want to miss anything! I need to be able to see the recorded videos so i better buy the subscription!!!” The other paid camera now doesnt notify me of anything! :( the company is kind of scammy by sending out fake notifications of something being there just to play on peoples fear so they will spend money!!

Rest assured, we are here to provide you with a solution to your concern.
A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device. Please see the following link for more information regarding the Ring Protect Plan and the benefits it offers: https://ring.com/protect-plans?undefined. It sounds like your device may have had “People Only” mode enabled when you had the trial video subscription. In your Ring motion settings, you have the ability to refine your motion alert notifications to distinguish between people and other motions using Smart Alerts, with a Ring Protect subscription plan.
