The camera works great, images are clear on the app. Battery only lasted a month, would recommend the solar panel instead.

I use this mostly to keep an eye on my small dog that gets under the fence when yhe light comes on it scares him to come back inside

I thought to wait for couple of days before writing my review about this product. So far awesome experience. As this is battery operated, only catch is to keep the battery charged but battery life is really good. Camera range is wide and immediate response when it identifies the object to send the notification on app. Image quality is really good even in night.

I wanted to add some security to my home in my yard. I already have the ring floodlight and live the Ring ecosystem and community. I saw this combo on sale during Black Friday and decided to purchase it with a solar panel. Installation was quick and picture quality is great. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because sometimes I can't connect to my spotlight through the app. This is probably due to it's proximity from the access point of my wifi mesh network. Still annoying but I would but it again. The solar panel was wonderful. It keeps the batteries charged even in Chicago winters where sun is a limited commodity.

clear picture. setting up was pretty easy. my son helped me because of the location I put it, I could not reach that easy. I'm happy with the product.

The Ring wire free spotlight is an excellent buy. The HD camera provides video and has a bright light that triggers when some one is within range.

As an experienced DIY person, I can tell you that this product is of very high quality. it appears to be quite rugged and well built, and the value of the, "Extras" tells me these people mean to provide an excellent product. For instance, you get EXTRA screws for mounting, in case you lose one. You get a provided drill bit, (!) for your use. and the cord attached appears to be as thick and rugged as an outdoor extension cord and has virtually no memory once unravelled from the box. It is easy to mount and position.

Camera has several ways to use it. Has excellent resolution. I’m able to see and hear everything at night. Easy to setup.

The Ring Security Camera is a good addition to anyone’s security system. The picture quality is okay for the price point. Just keep in mind, there is a short trial period. In the event that you do not subscribe, most functions are limited. Also, be sure to purchase additional batteries. Depending on how you initial setup your device, will determine how fast or slow you deplete you battery. My best advice would be to hard all devices, and you will not have to worry about that.
