I thought I needed a flood light when this was the better choice. They work great and Best Buy techs did a great job. Be sure to also purchase the solar collector. That was a great tip from the Geek Squad. Without the collector, you'll be changing batteries. Not my cup of tea to get up on ladders.

They have bar codes on each box for you to scan and link in their app. My husband did them all so when it was time to help my parents set theirs up i was a little concern but it was so easy. I didnt need to call my husband for help. The easy of use and functionality is 2nd to none.

We use it in our kennel outside and has withstood weather, dirt, dust and much more. Works grat with the solar panel and strongly recommend it, otherwise the battery life is horrible. But I never have to worry about charging the battery with the solar panel, and its not expensive

Helps Maintain A Secure Home

We can monitor the device online from anywhere. The light is very bright and the picture is quite clear. I can also tell you that the speaker and siren are good enough to scare away a large Raccoon who was hanging around our plants and bird feeders. We purchased the second battery and the battery life is excellent.

Battery life dwindled fast and having more than one battery in place at a time seemed to drain them faster. Easy instillation and set-up. With a name like Ring I expected the product to last a lot longer.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble keeping your Ring Spotlight Camera battery charged. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life.
