Good camera for a budget price for a smaller yard.

After reading tons of literature on the Camera Systems for homes, we decided on Ring. It was a great choice. The Geek Squad installed them for us but most people can do this. We're seniors and needed a little help. The quality is great, the pictures are clear and I know all that goes on all the time at my home.

It’s important to know what to expect when purchasing this camera + spotlight. It does a great job, in my experience, of lighting up an area when motion is detected. I don’t particularly like that it does not record continuous video. Instead you will be greeted with a timeline on their app of motion-detected events. Playback of what happened during the day between motion-detected events are limited to “snapshots” of a user-specified time interval. Personally, I like how other camera’s (like the Google Nest) will let you watch playback of the entire day if you chose to do so. Another gripe is that night-vision is not so good - - I believe the wired versions serve up a better night-vision experience, if that is important for you. Overall, I think it’s a good product with great build quality but I wish it had a few more features in the playback department.

The ring cameras work great, but I really did not realize after 90 days you have to pay $5 a camera per month to have any recording capability. And when installed, two cameras were not available for solar panels, so you have to make sure they can be hardwired. I have to get a ladder, and recharge the batteries in the cameras every month.

Easy to install, great picture and good value for coat

I already have 2 Ring doorbells so I didn’t hesitate to purchase the Spotlight Camera and it didn’t disappoint. It provides the light I need for my backyard and I can keep an eye on my dog when she goes out. I have it set up with my Alexa Show so it’s definitely a win win for me

The RING products are great! Your Best Buy staff was very knowledgeable also. This equipment is Easy to install and really gave us peace of mind. We did use the technical support phone line later when we were evaluating some additional cameras and the staff was wonderful. We would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend this camera for areas of your house that could be a target for intruders. The battery life is great! The set up is fast and easy. The camera works off of wifi and I can obviously view it from anywhere. It is a nice and fairly inexpensive device the keep your family and home safe.

Love this camera however we bought it in place of a Ring doorbell because of the doorbell placement. I think it is better suited for an area that you need a wider view and that does not have traffic in range. We are thinking of moving it to the side of our house and buying the doorbell. The 2nd battery is a must. Makes it last a very long time.

Great cameras as always. Added these two to my existing ring app. Definitely get 2 more batteries because they have 2 battery slots each camera and only come with 2 batteries (1 for each). You’ll want the extra battery life with 2 batteries in each camera. Thank me later.

We've had this product less than two weeks and are not totally familiar with all its uses. The spotlight cams were installed with the batteries having only about 25% power left. We immediately ordered a backup battery so we could charge one and have one in use. The batteries don't seem to last very long, so we're thinking about putting two batteries in each camera for longer life.

Works great and installing was really very simple. My husband and I have owned other ring products for several years so when we moved to our new home and wanted to install a security system again, we chose to purchase other ring products.
