    Nice and compact. Easy to set up and use. Definitely recommend extra batteries and a charging station so you can easily swap on demand. Be aware you’ll need a subscription to view and keep recorded events. Otherwise it’s live video only.

    Love this camera however we bought it in place of a Ring doorbell because of the doorbell placement. I think it is better suited for an area that you need a wider view and that does not have traffic in range. We are thinking of moving it to the side of our house and buying the doorbell. The 2nd battery is a must. Makes it last a very long time.

    I have had the camera for over a month and still dont have use of both yet. The installation was bad and one has not been programmed where can see a picture so I don't know if it's good or not. I really hate the whole experience thanks to the installation process.

We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the setup of the device.

      To set up your Ring Spotlight Cam, you can scan the QR code on your Ring device or product packaging via the Ring app. Follow these instructions in the Ring app:

      Tap the three lines (≡) on the left side of your dashboard in the Ring app.
      Tap "Set up a Device" and select the type of your device.
      Tap "I’m Ready to Scan."
      Point your smartphone’s camera at the QR code on your Ring device or product packaging.
      Center the code in the phone camera’s view at the bottom half of the screen.
      When the code is recognized, a green square will appear and a pop-up with your device image detected.
      If you experience issues scanning the QR code, please follow these steps:

      Move your camera closer or further from the QR code to help it focus.
      Once your camera finds focus, hold it steady for a few seconds.
      If your camera won’t focus, clean your camera lens, move to a well-lit area, and try again.
      If you continue to experience issues, please follow these additional steps:

      Tap "Other Options" below the scanner.
      Select Can’t Scan the QR code.
      Confirm by selecting "Enter code manually" (this corresponds to PIN code digits underneath the QR code).
      Find your device in the list.
      Enter your five digit PIN which can be found below the QR code.

    We've had this product less than two weeks and are not totally familiar with all its uses. The spotlight cams were installed with the batteries having only about 25% power left. We immediately ordered a backup battery so we could charge one and have one in use. The batteries don't seem to last very long, so we're thinking about putting two batteries in each camera for longer life.

    Love the ring cameras. Able to see who has or is in the view of the camera around your home or wherever you place the camera. The lights light up the area in view of the camera so as to be able to see better who or what triggered it to turn on. Also love the feature to be able to speak through the camera if needed. Recommend this product to others.

    Purchase this due to us becoming a fan of our ring doorbell. This could not be easier to install and the video quality is excellent as long as your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the location you were installing. My only suggestion would be to purchase the second battery so you can have a longer lifespan on the battery charges.

    It is working great. I am amazed at the motions it picks up. We live on a corner lot and it can pick up both streets. We had a beautiful owl who landed on roof area and it was looking right into the camera. Stayed for quite some time. We plan to purchase another for rear location on the property.

    Decent little spotlight camera but could definitely use some software updates or improvements. Motion detection is set off by birds and squirrels and even the wind blowing around tree ranches. My phone is constantly going off saying there is motion detected. Half the time I see nothing and most of the time it is just a bird or a tree branch. Camera quality is good.

    The Ring camera works well. It solves the problem. It is Easy to install. It didn't very long. It has pricing comparable with other brands. It looks good. The staff member was very helpful. He helped us compare products from different companies and explained the differences.

    Purchased Ring Spotlight camera and installed by Geek Squad several weeks ago to monitor front door traffic. Installation and initial operation, supported by an accompanying Ring Solar Panel for battery charging, went as planned. Video and audio quality were both good. However, the camera images were unavailable after four or five days and Geek Squad service on-site has been unable to achieve a reconnection to the local area network ( though the camera and battery appear to be working). It appears that the camera is no longer connected to the local mesh network but other devices continue to function normally. Reason for disconnect has yet to be determined. Will resolve upon owner’s return to site.

In pursuit of our mission to make neighborhoods safer, when applying technologies to our business, we always consider our three pillars of customer security, privacy, and user control. We understand how important it is to have your devices working as intended, as it offers a level of security in your home.

      After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Spotlight Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest-working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:

      Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).

      If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.

      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.

      Wait for your internet to be restored.

      Here is a helpful article which walks you through additional steps to take if the issue still persists for you after your modem/router reboot: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217240386-In-app-Setup-Failing-Repeatedly.

    I bought these because I have the Ring Doorbell and wanted to use one app for home security. I had trouble connecting one of the cameras (out of two) even with an extender. When I got it connected, the signal strength on my app said "Good", but I could rarely get a live view to work. Also, I got a lot of false alarms despite the fact I moved the the sensitivity around to try and get it to work the way I wanted. It picked up cars driving by but , at times, didn't pick me up walking in my driveway. In the end, I returned it and am going to try Arlo Pro.

    Purchased Ring Spotlight Cam along with the ring Doorbell 3. Spotlight was placed in my pool and backyard area. Can view a wide range of area. I got the ring app which allows me to see whether at home or away from home. Very happy and satisfied recommend it highly!
