We purchased this to supplement our existing hardwired security system as we don’t have any cameras which face our kids’ outdoor play area. We like that this security camera by Ring uses the same app interface as our Ring doorbell and didn’t require us to add a hardwired power source.

Great wireless security camera. Works extremely well for my side door and driveway. It works exactly as described, and it is best if you purchase an extra battery. The two batteries provide at least 3-4 months of operation before requiring a charge.

Very happy with this. Was concerned about the battery power but so far the energy used has been minimal. Have not had a chance to hook up solar panels for it yet. May save the solar panel for another camera since we out this one accessible enough the swap batteries once every few weeks.

I like the clarity and the fact you can add a second battery. Added a solar charger to prevent having to climb to recharge the battery since it is not hard wired. I wish the light was brighter, hence the 4 stars. Overall I really like it and it was easy to add to my current Ring account.

Great camera for the use and the security reasons.

These cameras are wonderful bought the extra batteries to go in them and the solar panels to help keep them charged last over a month without solar will be interesting to see how long now that i have solar on them as well

This product worked well for 8 months, but now one of the motion sensors keeps going off without objects being in sight. Other dislikes are the subscription plan pricing in the age of HomeKit secure video. Otherwise an effective product.

Have two sets of two batteries and only have to change about once a month that way. This is because my neighborhood is very active and has constant traffic. I have zero complaints about this and honestly wish I would’ve bought the two pack!

I feel more comfortable knowing that this camera is located at the top of my garage facing out. Only wish that there was additional 'downward' rotation available as it isn't able to view directly below the installation.

I'm not extremely impressed with it so far. Every morning the picture is blurry due to condensation. I don't know if it's a defect or not. It takes a few hours after the sun comes up to dry up and the picture is fine. We Don't have that problem with any of our other cameras.

Kids have a problem with people putting toilet paper , forks buried in the yard air let out of tires and filthy words painted on their cars put a ring camera with a solar charger for the battery on the house so they can record for the Sheriff department.

I wanted to have coverage in a couple of areas where it was not feasible to use a wired unit. This lithium battery powered pair did the trick. I'll have to climb a ladder every couple of months (or every four months if you use two packs), but it's easy to pull out from the mounted unit.

It was easy to install and set up. The light is decently bright and the sensitivity of the motion sensor is good. The camera resolution isn’t too bad either. I can identify who it is that triggered the motion sensor at least.

It was a tad challenging to mount just because of the backyard position that I wanted to place it and also connected it to the Ring solar panel. But after it was installed and connected, the cam is rock solid all the time.

The Cam light only come on when a person is detected not animals. Well, I need the light on when animals are triggering the motion sensors My neighbors dogs is trashing my yard need proof

Camera is supper easy to install. Also, purchased the solar panel and extra battery. It charges both batteries during the day and never runs out of power regardless of number of times camera/lights come on in the night. It also integrates seamlessly with other ring devices.

Rings are awesome! I love ring able to track packages and food deliveries, wildlife, etc. I do wish they kicked on faster when capturing movement and captured even higher quality video but overall, these give me so much peace of mind!

The spotlight works great making night videos a lot better than IR. No matter how much I adjusted the angle and sensitivity, I couldn't get the zones to work. It picked up all the cars driving by but often missed someone walking in the yard.

When I bought the cameras, my WiFi was spotty and there were be times when the signal was dropped, which meant I had to get back on a ladder to push a reset button. After getting my Eero Mesh system, I have not had any problems with the WiFi connection.

The camera is perfect because there’s no wires you can put it anywhere. The only thing I’m trying to get to work better is the motion Sensor it is very delicate and I get about 500 notifications today. From a bird to a butterfly. Other than that it’s perfect.
