I bought another two months ago for another location on the house. Works great and Rings customer service is top notch. Easy pick up during Covid at the store.

Now we can and with great resolution. The battery stays charged by using the solar panel.

They work well but the delay in the live view from the Ring App is frustrating to him. Other than that they’re decent.

It is probably better for city dwellers but living in the country I would like to know when a car comes down my drive.

This spotlight cam picks up the entire back yard! Again, easy to install, set up, and sync. Puts out plenty of light to see the walk, and very clear reception.

These wireless cameras don’t need to charge often. For me after full charge it takes about 45 days to re-charge the battery.

I have them all around the outside of the house. Battery life is pretty good. Ring is always finding ways to help with battery life with upgrades to their app.

If you received a prompt letting you know your Spotlight Camera Battery device is offline within the Ring app, then multiple (potentially all) of your Ring devices are offline. In this situation, the problem is most likely your wifi connection. This can happen if your internet is temporarily down due to an outage, if for some reason your modem or router was unplugged, if you got a new wireless router, or if the password to your wifi network was changed. In this case, select the Change wifi Network option in Device Health to reconnect your Ring Product to wifi. In terms of battery life, batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. Bought Chime Pro, Extender, and no improvement. Bought and returned a Better (NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK vs VERIZON) ROUTER: NO improvement. Had GEEK SQUAD install a Google Wi-Fi Mesh 3 pack, still no improvement. These RING WI-FI SPOTLIGHT CAMERAS do not capture significant events. GEEK SQUAD is NOT ALLOWED to work on Security Systems in Virginia. Over two months and still have problems. Different installers attempted to solve Wi-Fi problems with RING Support, Philippines. When will BESTBUY GEEK SQUAD Technicians be trained and allowed to make home visits in Virginia?

Now it takes longer to get the picture of what we r looking out and not as easy to get the view. Sometimes it takes two or more minutes it seems to have a delay.

The battery last about 3 weeks on high settings. I bought a second battery so I can just swap them out and not worry about recharge time.

I had the perfect spot, but it was slightly too far from the wifi spot. I moved it closer and it was "better." But it still has trouble being consistent when we want to check an alert. Moreover, there is a ton of false warnings. Even though I have set the parameters of the space it is "seeing," it still will pick up things outside that area. However, I feel better knowing it is there. The good rating is more for the number of false positives and intermittent connections even though it is only about 20 feet from Wifi.

If installing multiple cameras or in locations that are high off the ground I would use the hard wired option. Phone app is user friendly and works well.

Easy to setup and has ports for two batteries. Batteries last a good time . Just don’t put them where it can be hard to switch batteries.

It would be nice if you could drop a MicroSd card in and keep some recordings. L9ng battery life before recharging
