Works great anywhere, indoor or outdoors. Put mine up in trees with the solar panels, absolutely no issues and works very well most of the time.

The battery will last about 3 weeks if you choose your sensitivity wisely There is a slot too add another battery but you will have too buy it separately. Overall it’s a pretty good camara

New camera added to my house. Fort Knox!!! Thank you Ring for making these easy to install. I might add the solar panel to be able to take full use of the camera without blasting through batteries.

Super easy to install. Works seamless with the app. App is user friendly. I added this as an additional device. Has two battery compartments but only comes with one battery. That would be my only gripe. Still overall 5 stars because it’s well deserved. So you’ll have to purchase an additional battery separately to increase battery life. Resolution is good. The lights are decent, they get the job done. Not super bright but in darkness they light up the area enough for the camera and human eye to see. Reliable. Sensitivity can be changed to fit your needs. I’m considering purchasing one for my back yard soon. I would definitely recommend this to someone, especially a less tech savvy person who needs something simple and easy to use. It gets the job done and gives me exactly what I would expect for my money sent.

Definitely a good purchase overall. Video and audio are clear. It's easy for the person in front of the cam to hear me and vice versa. Siren works well and the lights are in tune with motion, or can be manually turned on/off. However, I do experience a lot of streaming issues for live view with this cam, compared to my stick up cam (which is 4x the distance away from the router as this one). Not sure what causes it since it's literally right next to the router, updated and full battery, but either it's super annoying. -2 stars for this reason

Easy to set up. Easy to use. The only thing is that with my usage, batteries last only a couple weeks. But that’s more of how much you use the live stream and other features that use more power Overall I am satisfied with my purchase

The camera has a good picture and I tend. It to use the light feature as it will run the battery down more quickly. The item came with one battery and a friend purchased hers and received two. The camer has slots for two batteries.

Ring has one of the best customer service for home security out there. I have the Ring doorbell for 2 years, and the LED ring light died after a year, and they sent a replacement for free. I always love their product, the innovator to the connected home world. Wifi is still an issue if your installed location is far from the router. I have to invest in a wifi extender to make this work properly. Overall a great product.

Adding this to our home system has been great! We just needed one more. We have used these for years and they continue to impress. Plus when we have had issues with a camera, the Ring customer service has been great to work with.

I bought this and put it on the outside of my house and it works like a charm. I get all the notifications in a timely manner and the camera is clear even when I pull it up when I am traveling. It is also very easy to set up and install.

I purchased 18 of these cameras between Best Buy and another retailer. From the very beginning I had issues with the battery and with connecting the camera to WiFi. I was able to get a Chime Pro which I literally had to plug in on the other side of the wall for it to connect. I installed the camera facing the back yard around 10pm. By 11am the camera had 81% battery life left. I followed all the instructions that were given to me by Ring and still nothing. How am I supposed to install 18 if these camera between three different locations if I have to recharge all the batteries every week to week and a half? I told Ring time and time again it’s the batteries but they tell me otherwise. I guess at this point I have to return 18 Cameras and go with someone else. If Ring would actually help me fix this then I would change this review.

Once set up correctly the motion detection works flawlessly and the video quality is fantastic for the price. I’ve had cameras costing three times as much that didn’t look this good.

I currently have 5 Ring Cameras (2 Ring Doorbell Pros, 1 Corded Stickup Cam, and 2 of these Battery Spotlight Cams. One thing I miss most in the battery powered cams is recording. This is common on battery powered cameras with Arlo and Ring from everything I've read. With cameras that get direct power via Cord or PoE, when there is motion, you will see 1-2 second prior to motion. With Battery powered cameras, it will not get the recording prior to motion. Other than that I like these cameras and love how they integrate with the Ring Security System, Ring Battery Lights, and Alexa. Everything ties together which makes these great. Also, Ring's subscription costs ($10/mo or $100/year for unlimited cameras AND security monitoring) are the lowest compared to Arlo and Nest.

We have this above our garage door and it picks up everything. Even cars driving on the street next to our house. It’s nice but when it’s super windy, the sensor will go over for every little thing flying by. Easy install and set up

This spotlight cam is amazing. The picture is so clear. I have such comfort knowing that I have the added protection this camera gives me. It picks up motion so well. Including the cats that seem to be on prowl at 2 am every morning.

Great video quality with light. I would recommend adding a solar panel so that you don't have to change the battery, it's worth the extra cost. If you want the widest angle, go with the floodlight.

I bought these cameras to help ease my mind with the recent overflow of teens causing trouble in my neighborhood. While they have done that, they're a little tricky. The battery life is very limited so I suggest the hard wired ones or buy the wolar panels as I later had to do. The battery will last roughly a week should you have it set to a high alert and have too many neighborhood cats as I do. They get the job done. Just know they take some time to get set up and figured out fully. Also read the fine print. You have to buy additional coverage monthly/yearly to keep recordings. Not a bad item just a little more work than expected. Also the Spot llight does NOT include a Bridge. You have to but it separate for the item to qork at all and it is not cheap. Cost me more than the light did.

It's battery operated so no need for electrical wiring. Easy to set up. Love the notifications if there is movement in my yard, I can hear and see what is happening and I can respond vocally or with a siren.

Battery life good depending on the settings you set. Recommend getting and extra battery to put in to extend the life. Also getting the solar panel for.

I bought four of these on black Friday and put them around my house. Set up and installation was easy. Cameras have good picture quality. I also purchased four extra batteries to extend the time between charging. So far I am satisfied!
