Not the best picture quality at night!

It was easy to install and I like the features the Spotlight Cam has to offer like the siren and the spotlight but the picture quality at night is poor in my opinion.

Posted .Hi Jeff. I understand how important it is to be able to clearly see what's going on around your home both during the day and at night. When your Spotlight Cam detects motion at night, the lights should come on. If that doesn't provide enough light for you to see what is happening, you can try adding some additional lighting near your Spotlight Cam. I did return them because if you have all features enabled and all triggers on, it does kill the battery. It holds 2 batteries but only comes with 1 for each camera. Quality was ok. Motion sensor was pretty good. If you don't mind charging them often then this is for you. Also, anyone can remove there battery, as it does not require a special tool to open the battery latch.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble keeping your Ring Spotlight Camera battery charged. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life. All you do need to keep in mind when reading reviews is that for these cameras to work they need a good wifi connection and high speed UPLOAD internet speed. I see some pleople claim the cameras are bad and that they have 180, 200, 500 mbps and they dont work. Maybe. But thats the download speed. You need to check the UPLOAD speed provided by your internet service provider.

However my main goal of buying this was to safeguard our front years door. This camera is very consistent and app works so well. The app is shareable so all the members of my family can use the camera features and it’s so helpful. Specially when I am away and I have to talk to someone who is waiting in front of my front door, the speaker comes so handy. Definitely a worth buy.
