      While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every ring, motion, and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature.     I purchased this item to compliment my ring video doorbell. It displays the sidewalk around my front door which is exactly what I needed to see if delivery services placed packages in that area. The battery for the security camera is the same as the video doorbell. I purchased one extra battery for the charger In order to have one always charged and ready when required.
