Outdoor camera

The camera itself works like a charm. The only downside is we have a brick house and the drill for it was not the best quality but I know that’s not what they are worried about being the best. Overall a great buy to watch the house.

When I come home in the dark the floodlight comes on which is a good feature. It also alerts me to visitors when they arrive. I plan to buy another one soon.

Ring claims that the battery last 6 months ... the battery lasts about 2 months and usually at the worst time ... when you’re not home. I would go with the wired only ...

The Ring Spotlight Cam is a High Definition (HD) security camera with spotlights designed to be mounted anywhere you need some extra security. Please know that we are here to resolve these concerns with you today.
Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble keeping your Ring Spotlight Camera battery charged. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life. If ring had only told me I had to add a new camera and not try to connect with the camera that was no longer hooked up we could have all been saved a big headache. Installer was awesome!
