They do go off when no one is there. We have it set on people only. But hey it could still be us. Lol We are still glad we have it!

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble keeping your Ring Spotlight Camera battery charged. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life. The light is not ultra bright but it will get your attention. If you want brighter get a flood light.

An addition to my security

They work well together I would have rather had the flood light ring, but I didn’t have an existing flood light in place where I wanted the cameras
