Also i noticed that sometimes if the motion lights are set off and like 15 seconds later a person comes through it doesn’t activate motion lights. That’s troubling.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Spotlight Camera picking up the correct motion. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life. Short Battery Life

It's only been up 3 weeks and already saying the battery life is at 12%. We even adjusted the motion to less frequent and "person only" mode. I was told the battery should last up to 6 months on each charge, I was clearly wrong.
