I had also just purchased three cameras for my house. But I could not believe that I was Not allowed to carry even touch the batteries to take them to the cash register. It made me feel like I could not be trusted and like I was a super bad person. I am so very sad to see that younger people have come to this. That now the young er generation thinks that older adults are worth nothing at this point. Im also seeing this in our general community. I feel very sad, and very disappointed!!

Floodlight Cam is Better

But I did not have a junction box out front. So I had to get this. The wired ones are a lot more superior to the battery ones.

In order to pick up all the motion you want to capture, it helps to understand a bit about how Spotlight Cam's sensors work, and how to position your Spotlight Cam for maximum effectiveness. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information to resolve this concern quickly.
The motion sensors in your Ring Spotlight Camera are designed to detect motion up to 140 degrees horizontally and 78 degrees vertically, from five to thirty feet outward from the fixture. It's also more sensitive to horizontal movement across the detection area than vertical. If you're having trouble detecting people as they are approaching your property, please review this YouTube Video about installing and angling the device: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7iJwF-5xGU (specifically 2:25 into the video). Could you re-mount the device from the eve or overhang of your house by flipping the mounting plate on the back of the device? This would allow the proper angling that you need to permanently resolve this concern and ensure the device fits snug into its mounting bracket.

Although distance does play a big part in the overall connectivity and quality of the live video, there are other factors to consider. Nearby interference, network limitations, or a combination of both can also affect your cameras' ability to connect to quality video in a timely manner. For example, if your cameras are mounted on a surface that is made out of heavy-duty materials, an otherwise strong signal may diminish as it passes through those. Materials such as metal, brick, and cement could prove to be a challenge. Do you happen to have your cameras mounted on or near these materials? Good product. Just not best solar setup

With the solar panel it worked for 2 days then stopped. The solar panel couldnt keep up with the power requirements. Maybe one day they getbit workimg

I get numerous false motion alerts throughout the day and night and terrible battery drain. I am lucky to get a couple of weeks before the battery drains. The video out of these camera are more like 480p than 1080p. Very pixelated and not clear at all. For what I paid, I can get a full 5mp or 8mp NVR system from Reolink or amcrest.

Great Cameras - Iffy Installation

The installers kept the screwdriver which came wirh r=the cameras and I was unable to adjust one of the cameras.

However, I have not been satisfied with this product. Part of the problem is where I live. A lot of people walk their dogs and cars drive by, so I had to turn off the alerts because of that, so that feature became useless. Also, when the light comes on it stays on for a short time and then it takes 30 seconds or more to refresh, so all someone would have to do it wait for it go out and move. The battery door is hard to close.

Hesitates when motion is detected

Expensive subscription
