Here are some quick tips on how to get a stronger wifi signal for your Ring device(s):
Try moving your router to another location. The ideal distance between a router and the Ring device is under 20 feet.
Move your Ring device closer to the router. If your wifi router has an adjustable antenna, try pointing it in various directions and testing the signal strength.
Consider upgrading your router, especially if it's more than a few years old.
Trace the path from your router to your Ring device. If there are any metal items (such as a TV) or aquariums directly between them, try moving them out of the way, so the signal isn't blocked.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble keeping your Ring Spotlight Camera battery charged. If this is the case, you may want to adjust your motion settings. Motion Frequency is a control in the Ring app that allows you to customize motion alerts to your home environment and preserve battery life. When the areas that you’re monitoring have excessive or repetitive motions, such as children playing in a yard, you may receive too many alerts, which can drain battery-operated devices too fast. Motion frequency controls were designed to help you get the notifications that you want and preserve battery life. Customer service is a nightmare.

Be very aware of your long term relationship with a manufacturer. I am married to this system for over a grand $$$ and I am extremelyh disappointed in the product and the lack of support. Buy another brand if possible. Plenty to choose from.

Or has a 5 min gap within motions and can’t capture the culprit that keeps taking my parking cones. It’s worthless and so mad I wasted all this money

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with answering your doorbell from your Ring App. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible. Wasted Money! Hundreds of dollars invmade useless

This was never an issue until this past week. CHANGE IN SERVICE TERMS MAKE DEVICE USELESS, as I value phone SECURITY while using every other feature on my phone! I've been a long time customer worth no such issue.

This information can be found in the Device Health section of the Ring app. You can improve the RSSI by moving a WiFi access point closer to your Ring device. In pursuit of our mission to make neighborhoods safer, when applying technologies to our business, we always consider our three pillars of customer security, privacy, and user control. We understand how important it is to have your devices working as intended, as it offers a level of security in your home.
After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Spotlight Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest-working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

We completely understand the relevance of having your home security up and running at optimal use. No need to worry, you have us here today and we'll make sure we get you up and running in no time.
You may run a special connectivity test at any time to see if a poor wifi connection is responsible for the audio problems. We have included step-by-step instructions below:
Open Ring app. Hamburger Menu/ 3 Lines.
Select Devices.
Select your Ring device.
Select Device Health.
Select "Test your Wifi" under the tools section.
Tap "Start test".
This does take you out of the Ring app to your default web browser to bandwidthplace.com.*
Tap Start to begin speed test. Once the test is done, tap your phones back button, this will take you back to the Ring app.
Enter your results from the speed test.
If the test results show you have adequate speeds, there are other factors to consider. Nearby interference, network limitations or a combination of both can also affect your cameras' ability to connect to quality audio/video. For example, if your camera is mounted on a surface that is made out of heavy-duty materials, an otherwise strong signal may diminish as it passes through those. Materials such as metal, brick, and cement could prove to be a challenge.
It is imperative that we get your Spotlight Cam setup and working to its full potential. For real?

My shipment contained 1 screwdriver and 2 screws. I guess the camera was invisible. I had no idea how to install and invisible camera. So I really can't say anything good about this. Best Buy said they would replace it but refunded it only. I will never but anything from BestBuy,com again!

That article will explain how the motion detection in your Spotlight Cam works, as well as give you some insight on the different settings available. It can take some trial and error to find the combination of settings that works best for your home. Disappointed

We understand where you are coming from, as this isn't the experience we want users to have. The Ring Spotlight Cam is intended to provide crystal clear video for peace of mind. The built-in Spotlights should be bright enough to illuminate the immediate area you are trying to secure video of. Our team is here to help you find a solution.
In order to work at its best, Spotlight Cam needs to be mounted at 9 feet off the ground. This positions the lights at an optimal height to illuminate the area. Do you know at which height your camera is mounted at?
When video quality is less than 1080p HD, the issue is almost always traced back to the wifi signal in use. First, it's important to know whether your internet package is optimized for video conferencing. If not, your video quality will struggle to reach full 1080p HD. You can reference your internet package for more details.
You should also reference the Device Health section of your Ring app for more info. Here, you can test your internet connection, review the RSSI reading, and find links to common solutions on improving your connection to your Ring device.
Please note: your RSSI reading should be between 50 - 60, and be displayed in green text. If yours is higher than that, and in red text, please select the question mark next to it for more info. You can learn more below.
