The installation was bad and one has not been programmed where can see a picture so I don't know if it's good or not. I really hate the whole experience thanks to the installation process.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the setup of the device.
To set up your Ring Spotlight Cam, you can scan the QR code on your Ring device or product packaging via the Ring app. Follow these instructions in the Ring app:
Tap the three lines (≡) on the left side of your dashboard in the Ring app.
Tap "Set up a Device" and select the type of your device.
Tap "I’m Ready to Scan."
Point your smartphone’s camera at the QR code on your Ring device or product packaging.
Center the code in the phone camera’s view at the bottom half of the screen.
When the code is recognized, a green square will appear and a pop-up with your device image detected.
If you experience issues scanning the QR code, please follow these steps:
Move your camera closer or further from the QR code to help it focus.
Once your camera finds focus, hold it steady for a few seconds.
If your camera won’t focus, clean your camera lens, move to a well-lit area, and try again.
If you continue to experience issues, please follow these additional steps:
Tap "Other Options" below the scanner.
Select Can’t Scan the QR code.
Confirm by selecting "Enter code manually" (this corresponds to PIN code digits underneath the QR code).
Find your device in the list.
Enter your five digit PIN which can be found below the QR code.

Ring Spotlight Camera is the Only Way To Go !!

It was a great choice. The Geek Squad installed them for us but most people can do this. We're seniors and needed a little help. The quality is great, the pictures are clear and I know all that goes on all the time at my home.

It is easy to define the range, and it is easy to define the motion frequency; I have it set up for light which conserves the battery and is adequate for my needs. It has been installed nearly a month and the battery is still 3/4 full. There is an icon in the settings to see this.

Added these two to my existing ring app. Definitely get 2 more batteries because they have 2 battery slots each camera and only come with 2 batteries (1 for each). You’ll want the extra battery life with 2 batteries in each camera. Thank me later.

Definitely recommend extra batteries and a charging station so you can easily swap on demand. Be aware you’ll need a subscription to view and keep recorded events. Otherwise it’s live video only.

The camera is great, but the shadow and off the patio from obscure glass set off the camera all day long. Had to adjust, but now is working better. If you buy the battery powered, buy an extra battery pack.

And when installed, two cameras were not available for solar panels, so you have to make sure they can be hardwired. I have to get a ladder, and recharge the batteries in the cameras every month.

I bought a separate charging (dual) pack and extra batteries so that I can keep my batteries charged without losing monitoring time. Worth the purchase - the only thing i would list as a con: wifi abilities seem to be flawed. The pausing of video at times is a little frustrating.

Your Best Buy staff was very knowledgeable also. This equipment is Easy to install and really gave us peace of mind. We did use the technical support phone line later when we were evaluating some additional cameras and the staff was wonderful. We would highly recommend.

The battery life is great! The set up is fast and easy. The camera works off of wifi and I can obviously view it from anywhere. It is a nice and fairly inexpensive device the keep your family and home safe.
