These cameras are great. I opted to get another pair as the first set worked so well. They have great video quality, good configuration for motion detection and an excellent way to additionally deter theft with their automatic motion lights. One thing I have found with these cameras and other Ring WiFi devices is that they cannot connect to WiFi when the SSID or Password contains special characters with their out of the box firmware. You must connect them to a non-secure or basic password WiFi hotspot, or even use your phone's mobile hotspot. Then they will download the new firmware, and you can easily move them onto your Primary WiFi with an SSID or password with special characters.

We love this camera. The picture quality is great and we also have used it to talk to people that are on the property when we weren’t at home. I do subscribe to the yearly ring service so I can get the most out of this product !

The wire free ring spotlight cam is great for those looking for a quick and easy installation. Took only a few minutes to set up and install. Since this is a wire free option, it seems like live viewing lags a bit more than hard wired ring products. I have a hard wired ring doorbell and I feel like the doorbell functions a bit quicker than the wire free spotlight cam. When fully charged, the camera seems to operate as quickly as the doorbell. This spotlight cam comes with two battery compartments, but only 1 battery. I would recommend to purchase an additional backup battery and insert in the second compartment so you do not have to recharge your batteries as often. Functionality of battery states it should last about six months, but the more functions you use, the quicker it will die out. Other than this, the product is great.

Works well and the battery lasts awhile due to the placement of the camera - its not used often. But the cold does affect the life of the battery. It took months for it to go from 99% to 30% then it went from 30% to 5% in 2 weeks. In the future would prefer wired for power

Ring Spotlight cams are awesome! My only complaint is, I wish they had a 4K model. For monitoring, these are great. But, if I needed something like a license plate, it might not meet that need.

Easy to install ! Just make sure that as soon as you get the products, immediately begin to charge the batteries they come with; charging takes about 30 minutes to an hour which is far greater than the installation time of the doorbell and the other wireless cameras i installed for the back door. The RING system is simple and intuitive to install and easily adaptive through your smart phone to your personal needs 24/7. another great feature is the Ring Neighborhood connection that allows sharing activity within your area, which by the way, your "neighborhood" area can be as small or as big as you want to make it. Again, great features and great flexibility of the Ring Security System.

Very easy to install and use. We also purchased the solar panel so we didn’t have to worry about have to climb a ladder (was placed high near our garage door) to recharge. Enjoy the spotlight when it captures motion.

Battery life is impressive; it’s down to 38% in the front and 69% in the back, after 1 month. I’m still fine tuning the settings, still erring on the side of more “false” alarms. Two things are causing the “falses” triggers: a couple of feral cats, and our family working in the garden (picture mowing the lawn, going back and forth across the field of view of the sensors). I’d guess that eliminating these problems would cut the battery drain in half. I haven’t found any settings to put the sensor in a sleep mode, short of cover the camera with a plastic bag. Adjusting the tilt of the camera (raising) would reduce the cat detections, but limit the viewability of the sidewalk. Buying the 2nd battery doubles the time between charges, and I highly recommend it. Image quality is generally very good. Nighttime video, without lights, is not as sharp, but still good enough. The video always starts off overexposed for a second or two before stabilizing. No deal breakers here.

So worth it. After initially getting a different camera for the space that I got this camera for, and being frustrated with it every day, I finally upgraded to the ring (we have a ring doorbell). It is a million times better than what was there and is worth the money. The two devices work great together through the ring app and the instillation took minutes. I purchased a second battery to make sure I did not have any down time while charging, something I had with the other camera, and I am three weeks in and only at 60% with the original battery. The other camera I was charging every 10 days. You may want to try to save money, but spend the extra and get a ring product and they have great customer support.

Very good equipment Picture is bright and clear have one indoors one outdoors easy to install directions are simple to hook up to the phone color matches well with the surroundings would recommend this for family members and others

Love this camera. I bought it to use it on the backyard and I moved it to the front to have additional coverage. It is easy to install and you can the coverage area. It is recommended to buy another battery as back up.

Camera has great video clarity and sound ! Depending on setting the battery can last about a week to two weeks before needing charge. Night vision is excellent up to about 30 yrds. Also super easy setup and installation!

Camera was easy to setup. Considered going for solar setup but opted for second battery instead. So far power consumption seems minimal so I am happy with my choice. Image quality is great and the light is a night touch. Going to pick up 2 more.

I mounted this to my house to veiw the backyard. I don't recommend buying the 2nd battery, buy the solar charger. Took me 2 months to finally install the solar panel cause i would have to remove the battery to charge it.

I absolutely love this camera especially when my kids are coming home from school! Easy to access on my phone and notifies you when there is movement near the front and your able too look a live footage

The camera quality is very good and has an extremely wide angle. I was impressed with how bright the lights actually light up at night. Hook the cameras up to rings solar power and you won’t need to concern yourself with having to charge the battery. Also, don’t purchase the additional battery as it is not needed if you have solar energy powering the camera. Set up is easy and if you don’t want to drill them into your property ring sells alternative options for both the camera and solar panel to be clipped on and mounted to rain gutters or trims on your property.

Work great and plan to upgrade to the PRO's and purchase an additional set. We also have the doorbell and floodlight and will be getting a second floodlight too.

Great product, easy to use, you can get all notifications on your phone

We have a home alarm system, but the doorbell camera they offer needed to be hard wired and it wouldn't give the view we need for our comfort, so I looked into as an addition. Easy to setup and connected to my network on the first try. We had a planned trip the following day out of state for the weekend so we were able to test out it's functionality long distance right away - and my wife is very happy that it was easy to use the app and see when motion was detected. We have trees and a semi busy street in front of our house and it didn't go off with every car passing by or with the wind blows the branches( it recorded a neighborhood cat and the mailman who came directly to our door!) so I had read that was a problem for some, but that may be just the position of the camera and the motion settings. Excellent value for two cameras!

If you are getting these to put outside i would highly recommend getting the solar panel for these. It keeps the battery charged 100% and that is with us having all the features on the drain the battery the most. We purchased this so we could cover the perimeters of our house. Originally we did the double battery per union which will last about 3 months with our configuration and activity, but the solar option was the deal winner and the reason we purchased these. Best combo to get. Camera's work well, Night vision does a pretty decent job, has a siren and light. You can also adjust the motion zones and sensitivity. Connects and says connected to our home wifi without issues. Good signal is RSSI 58 and down. Would recommend these for anyone that is looking for a cost effective way to add outdoor security.
