This camera gave incredibly brilliant views of our backyard swimming area. The problem was you cannot turn the camera off. Every time the grandkids would run by the camera it would continue to turn on. Even with the motion detector was set on off the camera continued to run. It needs to be re-designed so one can flip a switch and put it on like a security system and then turned it off at will.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The camera works good but it can be easily stolen and the battery was stolen out of mine the other night and Best Buy would not replace it I had to go directly to ring who would not replace the battery either unless I need a police report I can’t imagine calling the police over a battery and the bottom compartment did not close properly so I had to get a whole new camera that ring did send me one out really quickly but overall it’s a great product

My other one has a solar panel. Both provide coverage and lighting as expected, and have not had to change batteries since addeing solar to the one and power adapter to the other. Work great. They also work as expected without the solar panel/adapter, but then require periodic battery change out/recharge.
