We added this second camera to our network and put it in our backyard. It’s nice to be able to check on my home from my iPhone anytime I want. Super easy to install and the rechargeable battery last a longtime without charging. I’ve had it for 3 weeks and it’s still at 70% strength.

When I come home in the dark the floodlight comes on which is a good feature. It also alerts me to visitors when they arrive. I plan to buy another one soon.

Lighting could be better.

The video is good but the lights aren’t near as bright and don’t reach as far as the floodlight camera. The lighting is the only downfall so far.

As a battery powered device, the lights on this camera will not be as bright as the hardwired Floodlight Camera's floodlights. However, the built-in spotlights should still provide you with sufficient lighting to help illuminate your videos at nighttime. We'd like to offer our help!
In order to get the most out of your Spotlight Camera, please ensure it is mounted at 9 feet off the ground. This allows the spotlights to illuminate a decent area of the ground. Additionally, you'll want to ensure the tilt of your device is optimized to work well for the environment that it is in. If ring had only told me I had to add a new camera and not try to connect with the camera that was no longer hooked up we could have all been saved a big headache. Installer was awesome!

I placed this camera in my back yard because I have an alley which anybody can jump my fence and take personal belongings from my home when I'm away. Peace of mind knowing it will record movement if detected and send notifications to me immediately. Good camera to have.

Easy to install although I had my handyman do it! Love all the features! Set up app on phone to receive alerts and check previous motion!!!
