    Replaced another doorbell cam. Paid more for the installation than the product. Indoor cam seems better fit. Doorbell cam recs 20 max and has a delay if motion is still in view.

      It sounds like the device is not recording as long as expected. To change the recording length of your video doorbell or security camera:

      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the Menu (☰).
      Tap Devices.
      Select the device you want to adjust.
      Tap Device Settings.
      Tap Video Settings.
      Tap Video Recording Length.

      For battery-powered devices:

      15 seconds
      20 seconds (default)
      25 seconds
      30 seconds
      60 seconds
      90 seconds
      120 seconds.

    Not a removable battery - mising parts

    Thought it was a great deal since it comes with a camera as well, but the camera was missing the mounting bracket and then the ring doorbell attach detach mechsnism was broken. Returning and just getting one with the replaceable removable batteries and hope all the pieces are there

    The camera stopped working four days after I purchased it tried to return it to the store and they didn’t have any in stock and told me to reach out to ring that they would replace it.

    Ring charge you a monthly signature to record

    Ring has an annual signature to work with cloud. This means you must pay a monthly signature to check how was at your door. We have others that don’t have this requirement and you spend much less money.

    This ring camara is no the better than other ring camaras. After only having it for 4 months it no longer works. This is my 2nd time purchasing one and all I have now is a black screen & a monthly subscription.

    Not in southern Florida

    they don't mention that they go through a full charge fast of a winter day . I don't live in southern Florida but we have winter here in Indiana. the battery drained in less then a week and its not winter yet . Guess I will set it in a window for the video and do without the doorbell.

It is essential to have peace of mind when it comes to your home security and the battery life in your Ring Battery Doorbell plays a big role in that. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can take to ensure that you have your device set up for optimal battery-life performance. The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using "Live View" can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner.

      To prevent excessive activity, under "Motion Settings" for your device in the Ring app, you can:

      Adjust your "Motion Sensitivity" slider to a lower sensitivity.
      Redraw your "Customizable Motion Zones."
      Change "Motion Frequency" to regularly or periodically.
      You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.

      As cold weather sets in, lithium-ion batteries like those used in Ring Doorbells and Security Cameras may experience several issues, including trouble holding a charge, running out of power faster than normal, or losing functionality. Knowing at what temperature batteries will start to be impacted can help you take the necessary steps to keep your device working. When the temperature drops to:

      36°F (3°C): The battery may not hold a charge as effectively, resulting in having to charge the unit more frequently.
      32°F (0°C): The battery may not charge at all. Even hardwired configurations may not charge the battery.
      -5°F (-20.5°C): The battery may stop working completely until temperatures warm up.

      When it gets cold and your device's battery runs out, bring your entire device inside and charge the battery with a USB cord. This will allow your device to warm up while the battery charges.
