It was nice to incorporate all my cameras into one app. I feel like they just put the doorbell cam in a different case though.

    Good little camera

I wasn't too sure about this camera when I picked it up, I currently have nest cameras but I'm moving to another house and wanted to try something new. These have a great mounting system for indoor or outdoor placement which is great. The quality is good but I think my hopes are a little too high for anything on the market right now. Night vision is a lot better than the nest cams. I installed this ring camera literally right next to my nest and have been comparing them and it seems like everything is better with the ring camera. This camera also does POE (power over ethernet) which is awesome, if you have the correct setup. You'll need a POE injector or a POE switch for your home network, you can then run a single ethernet cable to power and give internet to the camera which is a first in these little cameras. POE used to only be available on more professional cameras until now. My biggest gripe with the nest cameras was the attached power cord. There's this connector that is 7/8in diameter and if you want to do a clean install poking the wire through into the garage for power or inside your house, be ready to drill a 1 inch hole in your siding... not the smartest move. With these cameras it's a hole that's a fraction that size, even smaller if you go the POE route. The main reason I got this camera to try out is my new house including a ring doorbell. Ring has a great pricing strategy that allows all your cameras and security monitoring with the alarm they sell for $10/month. I'm going to pick up a few more of these cameras and the ring alarm to fully outfit my house. hopefully it'll be as reliable if not more than my current setup with nest.

I spoke with FOUR different store employees (including a manager!) after returning items I was told I needed and then repurchasing. I wasn't told by ANY of them that these products will only work for the first 30 days and after that you have to pay a monthly fee. What?! And that doesn't even include being connected to any kind of monitoring service to notify law enforcement. That's an additional fee! I. WANT. MY. MONEY. BACK.

I wound not recommend this product is because first of all you can not change the angle view and second of all the quality of the night vision is not clear at all. my suggestion is to get nest camera.

    OK Camera for Ring Users

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The camera overall is OK. The video quality isn't that great and the unit is bulky. If you need to zoom in on something, it will be pretty grainy. However, it integrates well into the Ring family. Others pros - outdoor and indoor cables. Decent length in the package. I am keeping mine as a replacement for an Arlo system. If video quality is more important, then you may want to test out other systems.

    Bottom tier security cam

Satisfied with our Ring doorbell so figured...why not? I should have tested the quality of the video before full set-up. If you zoom in, you might have a hard time identifying an individual. The video has lag. Field of vision could be better. You will have blind spots. We should have just paid a little extra and bought another Logitech Circle 2. (Wired) We returned it and did just that. Way better cam and features.

    Sound quality is terrible

I have 2 of these cameras. I installed one several months ago, and always thought the sound quality was terrible. I did some research and found others had the same issue with poor sound quality. The other day I installed the second camera I had. Once again the sound quality was terrible, just like the first camera. Picture quality is good. The sound quality as I said is poor. Now I notice this camera has been replaced You can’t even find it on the Ring sight. Ring has come out with a newer camera that is less expensive than the cameras I bought. There must be a reason why this camera has been replaced in such a short time. I’m sure Ring is well aware of the sound problems.

    terrible mount

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Compared with the original Stickup Cam the mount is terrible. It is much harder to secure the mount to the wall and it is virtually impossible to angle it a 45 degrees without mounting it in very unconventional ways. I also had some issues with WiFi where it would pick 5 Ghz even though the signal was much weaker.
