For $100 it’s a really good smart doorbell, video quality is a little blurry but it is the version 1 with 780p. Other than that it works great and apparently battery lasts pretty long if there isn’t much movement being caught. Definitely recommend

Great Device

One issue I have is the light on the ring can get bright when it catches movement. It has a bright circular light and it blinks a blue light so someone knows they’re being filmed I’m guessing. Otherwise great device.

Good Camera

The play backs are very nice because often times as you are notified that someone is at your door by the time you get into app they have already left, unless they are ringing doorbell and waiting on you to answer.

I hardwired it and it works really well, but I have to adjust the range of its motion detector to prevent it from sending messages when there are cars driven by. I also subscribed to the cloud recording which is relatively inexpensive ($30 annually) Overall, I am very satisfied and highly recommend it.

Great to add additional security!

However! The customer service at Ring is outstanding and will come out to our home for free if we can't fix it. They have been wonderful on the phone and the app with the bell works very well!

Does what it says but 1080p is a must

I have ring cameras around my house that are 1080 and the clarity is much better. It does give you a usable image but if you prefer more detail in your captures - get the newer model
