||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Ring video doorbell works well but after 30 days you have to subscribe to their cloud service monthly if you want to save the video. If someone attempts to break in, my video is gone unless I pay Ring to retain it. I shouldn't have to pay extra to gain access to video of my own home. I should have an option available to save the video to my personal cloud drive! You also need a completely flat surface to install correctly. It doesn't fit well on our siding.

Without this plan, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone when someone presses the doorbell or when motion is triggered. We do notify our customers about our cloud plan on the website (ring.com/cloud-recording), in your Ring app during the first free 30day trial and in your email as well.
