Overall, Ring works as intended, notifying you on your phone and or tablet when someone is at your door. Motion detection however can be very sensitive regardless of the sensitivity level chosen. I live on a fairly busy street and larger vehicles seem to set off the alarm frequently even with the sensitivity set to the very minimum which is 5 feet.

Easy to install but ocassional loss of connection or poor signal from wifi.. pain in the butt at times!!

Gives extra security knowing who is at your doorstep. I would give it a 5 star If free subscription was not limited to 30days.

This product was recommended by my neighbors. I debated on this one or the Pro. I loved the price on this one so I purchased. My daytime view is great by door, but super bright where the driveway and street is. It would be nice to be able to see that too. Night time view is not bad. The notifications are fast to my phone. Good camera for the price.

Easy setup, easy install, great video and easy to use. Love it!

Very great product. Good battery life when not using the live video option. Wish this recorded what actually tripped the motion sensors and the brightness setting could be adjusted. Overall good product, but the newer version would be better to have as the video is better and it records motion right away.

This is great for having something outside to keep the strangers out and seeing who is walking in front of your house. You do have to pay a monthly subscription to continue using the service. Also Best Buy does install the doorbell for you if you don’t have anyone to install. Highly recommend to anyone without a ring doorbell or cameras outside

It’s a great camera to see who is at your front door before opening the door. It alerts my smart phone when there is motion at the door whether it being the door is being opened by one of my kids or if someone is actually there. I don’t have to be home for it to notify me either. I can talk to someone at the front door while being away. Extra security in my opinion.

1st generation Ring is 720p, its decent but not the best. Sometimes its grainy and there's too long a delay between triggering sensor and motion record. Sometimes it takes a few times to get the live view to come on. Would recommend for basic use

Ring doorbell was easy to setup and install as a wired doorbell replacement. Motion and doorbell features work well although there is a slight delay before recording starts. The 720p camera images are not as crisp as I had hoped. I may need to upgrade to the 1080, would recommend the 2 and up for others.

Video is crisp and it’s very easy to hook up. I would buy it again.

We have 8 year old twins and a 5 year old that have their friends over playing, this helps us to keep track if they are going inside or out. Obviously it is also great to see who is coming to your door and be able to interact. We order a ton of gifts over the Holidays so it is great to see when they are delivered as not all the delivery services ring your doorbell.

Installation was pretty easy, so was the setup. Have used it for several months and it works pretty good. Two things I don't like is first the motion detector has a delay before it starts recording. Several times the person was gone before I could see them. Second, if the wifi drops you have to remove the unit to get to the reset button. Not easy.

Switching this doorbell out with the original one was a breeze (two wires). Load an app to your phone, go through a few settings and you are in business. You cannot beat the peace of mind this doorbell provides. Note in order to keep the recording of activities there is a subscription fee from Ring.

I have a doorbell at my home and felt my best friend would enjoy getting one for his birthday. He called and said he was very happy with the gift.
