    This is the worst product ever. It sets off our door bell randomly...most of the time it happens in the middle of night. We contacted Ring about the problem and they checked the history on our door bell and told us it did not happen. When a door bell goes off at 2 AM a person knows it but according to Ring it just did not happen. We figure they know they have faulty product. We attempted to return it to Best Buy but since we did not pay for the extended warranty they would not take it back. A word of warning ...Do NOT buy this product.

    No matter the setting, I'll get notified of any car that drives past my house but I won't get any notifications of a PERSON STANDING AT MY FRONT DOOR! Also... if you don't subscribe to the cloud storage, you can't view any videos. So... it KINDA works. Just don't get your hopes up

Setting up the motion detector does require a bit of maneuvering to find the sweet spot, however we can assist you with honing these settings to make sure you only receive the alerts that matter to you. Also, our optional cloud service plan for $3/month allows you to access/download/share past Ring videos. Without this service, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to Live View.     This was a great idea but you need excellent internet service to get this. We even moved our router closer to it in hopes it would work well. But no such luck. It rarely worked so we returned it while we could. I would love to try a new improved version!

    I bought the ring doorbell camera a little over a year ago. I've given it 15 full months before writing this review. It is absolute garbage. My Wi-Fi signal is strong so there shouldn't be any problem and what I get from the ring is the backs of peoples head walking away or a car after its pulling out of the driveway or when somebody is walking off the property already.... Unless you stand at the front door for a few minutes it's not going to capture you...a total waste of 100 bucks.....i hate it.

    The delay is awful. My internet is pretty good. If some one rings it takes for ever to get it to connect to respond. Motion detection is constant even after doing multiple configurations

    I loved the concept of the Ring doorbell, ever since I saw it on Shark Tank a few years ago. At the BF sale price of $129, it seemed like a great bargain. It supposedly only takes 5 minutes to setup - BS. I'm a computer engineer with 30 years experience. It took me 10 aggravating tries and at least an hour to get it to finally connect right. Within minutes of getting connected to my network, I realized it was worthless. The picture is so poor, you can't make out what you're looking it. Forget about the sound, it's garbled noise. I'm returning it to the store. I really wanted this to work, for both my home and a small apartment complex I own. I thought what a simple solution. But I regret that I've wasted my time with this piece of junk!
