Great Doorbell Camera
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the doorbell at the request of my wife. Installation was very easy - remove old doorbell, wire this one in (not required can run off battery), and hook it to wi-fi. Upon initial installation and set-up, I was getting a lot of false motion sensing due to the street my house faces. A couple of quick adjustments in the setting on the app, now I am only picking up movement when someone walks up our sidewalk to the door. The resolution is great and it is responsive even when I am away from home using cell service. I can talk to someone at the door if needed.

Very useful device for homes or businesses
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I definitely recommend this product. Pros: -Decent battery life -Decent mobile device app that is easy to use -Video and audio record at good quality Cons: -You can snooze this device, but you can't temporarily turn it off. Sometimes I work outside and the device just keeps going off the whole time [wasting battery]. I feel v like Ring should enhance their snooze feature and completely let you temp power down the device and wake it back up after the desired time. -The speaker on this device is not very good. The device is 2 way, but good luck getting the person outside the door be able to clearly hear you through that tiny speaker. It's a shame because the first version had a loud and clear speaker.

Great investment!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Joined the "RING" members finally! Was a great investment and happy I purchased one finally! Works great, camera is exceptional and battery operated one is very easy to install. It's been hooked up for 3 weeks now and still is holding its charge! Was on vacation and received notifications of all activity! Able to track sons coming and going and was able to see a storm that did some damage! Love its versatility to keep notifications silent/vibrate/sound...camera clarity/live view is awesome too. Now want to purchase additional add on for the back of my house!

Great product - easy set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the product set up relatively quickly. It works well and is providing our family with the additional comfort and security we were looking for. My only complaint would be that the instructions could have been a bit more complete. Seems the industry is trying to minimize the amount of instructions to a bit of an extreme.

Very easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera/doorbell is easy to set up and use. This second model is much better then the first model, the video is better and it’s much easier to charge the battery if you don’t wire it in.

So easy to install!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have have a monitored security system in the past, what a headache. The alarm would go off, caused by the las vegas wind, the alarm company would call us and by the time the security officer arrived, we never saw or heard from anyone we had traveled 30 miles and were able to verify that it was the wind which had blown open the back door. Now we received a motion alert and a video shows up on the computer and phone so we can see with our own eyes. We love the system and it was so easy to install, my husband did it in about 30 to 45 minutes.

ADDED SECURITY! EASY TO INSTALL!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am extremely happy with the Ring Doorbell 2! It was easy to install! I hard wired it to my existing doorbell since I had a mechanical door bell so I don't have to run off the supplied battery! I highly recommend that you hard wire this device. I got the Amazon Echo Show 5 for dirt cheap when I bought the Ring Doorbell 2 so I am able to tell Alexa on the Echo Show 5 to show me a live view of my front door. Highly recommend this to my family and friends! Just having this on your front porch is already a deterrent but it's not always going to stop someone from stealing your packages. Still a good enough added security!

Great security
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the ring . Good picture quality . The ring picks up instantly with motion near your door . It’s too late by the time someone notice the ring at your door . the connection for the ring wasn’t strong enough so just make sure you have a good internet provide if not you can get the ring chime. Great investment

Always home when I'm not
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really do like the idea of having some sort of surveillance of my home when I am away from work or doing some errand. I always like to be able to see what is going on from my front door and being notified when someone comes up to my door. I am also a fan of being able to talk to the person visiting my home through the doorbell through my smartphone. It's great! Setup for the doorbell well...pretty simple for the most part but I did run into a couple of small problems. Before buying this doorbell if you plan on hardwiring the doorbell be sure to read up all the checks before you buy it. Such as does your doorbell provide enough power, what type of doorbell you have, and etc. Just to be safe. So the first thing you probably will want to do is watch the video that Ring has. The video goes over pretty much everything that you need to do. What I did was insert the battery into the doorbell, get it connected to my network, and then tested live view. Then I placed the doorbell where my old doorbell was just to see what type of view I was going to get and what mount bracket that I will need to use in the box. After I was happy with the view I would then do the next step which is to install the mounting bracket to the wall of your home. The camera view has a very good field of vision and I really didn't need to buy any other mount other than the one that was provided in the box. Then after that it simply attaching the mounting bracket to the wall, pulling the pre-existing doorbell wires (if hardwired) and then screwing the ring door bell unit to the mount. Here is a couple of lessons I learned during this installation: - The screws on the back for hardwiring is kind of fragile and can be stripped easy if you're not careful. So don't over tighten or use too much force when screwing it in. Else you might not be able to remove it easily. - When connecting to your home network Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) you might need to change a couple of settings in your router. For whatever reason, I ran into the issue where the stubborn device just wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi. Found out, it is kind of picky what channel the radio is on. I had to change my 2.4 wireless network to use a static channel and then it just worked. Why? I really don't know. Originally my router was just using Auto. As for the device itself, it's great mostly. Notify me when it detects motion and lets me talk to anybody outside when I am not near the door. My only complaint is that it's fairly slow to get to that point. The notification is fast but loading the app and connecting to the doorbell seems like it takes forever (10 - 15 seconds). You can very well miss out on someone at the door if they move fast. Sometimes I had some "ninja" devilery people not even trigger the motion alert. Just arrive to see a package was on my front door. Not sure what they did to not trigger the motion alert since my whole front entry is covered with the motion area. Overall, would I recommend this to a friend? Yea, kind of. I would honestly say check out other smart doorbells first to be sure it would be exactly your fit. The main reason I knocked off a star was that the time it takes to be able to see whos at your door. Just hope that your visitor doesn't dart off after 10 - 15 seconds after ringing your doorbell. Hope my review was helpful.

This is just to cool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let me start by saying my whole house is alexa. First the video is clear. I have two Echo Show so when someone comes to the door I just say Alexa show me the front door and I can talk and see the person. When they walk up to the door it say there a motion outside or or there a person outside(when they ring the bell). I got the wireless bell too so it talk. To top it off the whole the took me about 15 minute to install and set up the app. This was just to EZ. I give this an 11. O and it ring in every roon that has Alexa. LOL, I have Alexa in my backyard.

Great Video Doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ring has it figured out! This video doorbell has high quality video and is simple to set up. Out of the box it alerts to everything within its view, but is easily configured to only alert in areas you want. This allows you to exclude high traffic areas which are in front of your property (i.e. street, sidewalk, etc...) that are not related to people approaching your home. Setup instructions are simple to follow, but have seen the other ratings of their tech support reflecting they are very helpful to get you up and running.

Needed in this day and age..sadly.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome product. Easy install and set up. I purchased the battery powered version. Battery lasts a super long time. I’m 2.5 month in on first charge and it’s at 53%. App works great. Neighbor hood watch feature is great. You can send videos warning of suspicious people or events. Package thieves beware. You are being watched. Video storage will expire after 30 days unless you sigh up for the service. $3 mo. For basic. $10 I think for premium. Video and sound works great. The better the WiFi the better the response, meaning less lag. Neighbor hood map feature is great also. Link up with your neighbors. Try it. Stay informed.

Best doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ring video doorbell 2 is east to install, comes with all the tools needed except the drill and is easy to set up in the ring app. Camera provides a great picture and has an unexpectedly wide view. I did have to contact customer service when setting up my doorbell, but that was due to my phone being temperamental and had nothing to do with the doorbell or the app and customer service was absolutely excellent. Excellent picture and very good sound, would definitely recommend this product.
