I love the ring 2. I went with this one because I had no door bell installed in the home so the battery power was a good option. Battery had lasted me about a month on one charge with plenty of use. It’s simple to install and the video quality is great day and night. The membership is fairly cheap at $30 a year. Very happy with it and highly recommended.

The Ring Doorbell is really great, because at all times you can see who is at your front door and you can also speak to anyone with the Application on your phone.

Takes great clear video but too much of a delay, probably due to the set up of my walk up apt, even had the wifi extender, didnt help all that much, plus cox sucks for internet service in my opinion

If you're looking to start dabbling into home security, this is a great way to start. Easily installed and easy interface allows you to secure home and family.

takes some trial and error to get the movement zones just right so you don't get erroneous notifications, but overall it is great! definitely nice having a piece of mind about deliveries while i'm at work. Had Geek Squad set it up, but I could tell it was a very simple installation, and it was definitely nice to have someone there to ask questions to.

I purchased the first version and returned it because the camera was blurry, and decided to try this one. It is very clear and works as advertised. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because the notifications can get annoying even though I have adjusted the motion settings to the lowest setting. It continues to pick up cars passing by and it's only set to pick up motion just a few feet away from my door.

My parents have a Ring doorbell that I am linked to. Since they are in another state, it really helps me keep track of their in and out activity. I finally decided to get one for our home too. The newer version I bought has a much better picture. I like that you can angle the doorbell to catch a wider view. I used the dark cover to better blend in with our brick.

I have one on every entrance door. I am considering maybe my she shed too. Easy to assemble, battery easy to insert and love the wide range camera and difference choices of rings for each door. You can answer the door bell rings and speak to the guest You can view on computer or cell phone and share with family members.

Overall I'm pleased with the Ring Doorbell. It has great picture and sensitivity to motion. Sometimes when i get a notification of motion my app doesn't connect to the video but otherwise it works fine. The battery life varies but typically I get about 10 days out of a charge. I bought a spare battery which allows me to always have a replacement to put back in and not miss out on anything.

First things first - if you don't have a wired doorbell, buy the add on Chime. It's another expense which sucks, but without it you may not hear your doorbell. Next, installation does not take 'minutes.' I installed mine in about 30 minutes (not too bad) but have to take it off now because after a couple weeks of use I find that it's angled up and I want it flat, so I have to use the pitch wedge (included, thankfully.) Also, one other bad, I get notified when cars pass my house on the street, but not when my mail is delivered despite her walking right in front of the camera (it picks her up as she's delivering, but by then she's walked right past it and right up to it). The zones don't seem to work very well. My car pulling into the driveway doesn't get picked up (may get corrected when I add the wedge this weekend). The good - peace of mind that when someone is at my door, I can see who it is, I can be notified no matter where I am that I have a visitor (I was recently on the other side of the country so I could see everything that was going on.) Get it for peace of mind, work out the quirks during install, and hopefully Ring will fix the issues with the motion detection zones soon.

The Ring is great.. our old door bell was broken but we bought the Ring with the battery b/c we did not want to rewire and we loved that you could mount the Ring 2 anywhere. Do now we have it placed conveniently around our door and it works great. Battery lasts a good 3 to 4 weeks before recharging. Easy to use and like the different ring tones you can choose.

We purchased after someone came into our new construction home & stole our brand new appliances. You MUST have internet to use the device. Battery life is excellent. This model can be hard wired as well. The picture quality is wonderful as well. The online Ring community is awesome to keep everyone near you in the loop for what to look out for.

We love watching individuals approach the door from our mobile devices. Chimes alert us to activity, video is activated, and communications can happen with visitors remotely. Battery recharging is simple and may occur frequently depending on how often the RING device is activated. Reassuring to have, and love the camera quality and width and depth of display.

Been thinking about buying one of these for my house. It was for 130 and 10 for the Eco show 5 so I bought them on Black Friday for 150 w/tax. E z setup and install. Battery needed to be charged before I start using it. It's a great product if you want your house to be techy. People on the other side can hear me and I can hear them. My Wifi signal is little weak according to the Ring App.

Our first video capable doorbell. Simple to install. It would be better if the battery were able to be replaced easier for those people who do not have power to an existing doorbell. Sometimes, the sun/shadows tend to trigger an alert when there is no activity at the location. Perhaps the install angle needs adjustment. Happy with purchase and ease of install, connected to Wifi easily.

If your home does not have an existing door bell installed with low voltage wiring you will need to use the battery pack. The installation is easy using the battery pack. The Ring app is easy to use. The quality of the picture is very good. Be aware though that to upload to the cloud there is a monthly charge that is not disclosed until you open the package.

So I’ve had my ring doorbell for a month. I’m not sure how I’ve done without one. It was super easy to hardwire, power level stays at 100%. You can use battery power too if needed. Alerts for me are instantaneous, no delay. Coupled with my alarm system I feel very safe from unwanted intruders. Hook it up and forget it! It’s that simple!

I like the removable battery charging option on this version versus the first generation Ring where you had to take the entire unit down and charge it.

Best investment to home security anyone can make. I contemplated the cheaper one and this is without a doubt the best choice. Easy to install and comes with the hardware for many install variations. The monthly is only 3 bucks a month so that was not hurting the wallet. Battery life is very extensive and charges in a couple of hours.
