It alerts me each time someone is on the porch. There is a little bit lag time, but I think that should be expected relying on wi-fi. My only complaint is that if you want more than the live feed you do have to subscribe to their cloud service. That was unexpected, but my fault that I didn't research further. You have to buy either at the $3 level or $10 level. The $3 level is perfect for our needs.
