Great doorbell camera, plus security

Wired it on the existing doorbell and it works great plus the backup battery. This works well with the ring alarm ecosystem and I get alerts when someone is near the front door. It is also well integrated into alexa so when someone rings the doorbell you can talk to them quickly.

Wifi signal reception weak...software issues.

Had them hardwired professionally for constant power. I had also recently updated my home wifi system with the new eero Pro routers. My wifi signal is very strong and fast throughout my entire home. Despite this, I still have delayed live video and weak signal reception on my Ring Doorbell 2s, even though both Doorbells have a wifi routers within 15'-20'. The Ring setup software is limited in the fact that it doesn't allow you to program the Doorbell to a certain wifi router or signal channel...it constantly jumps around between routers and often does not lock onto and stay with the strongest signal. Video quality is good from the Doorbell but it often skips, delays or doesnt show the first few seconds of a motion alert. It does all this while the phone app shows perfect doorbell "health"!? However, it also always shows a weak signal to and from my cell phone...even if I'm standing right next to a wifi router and my phone shows the strongest signal levels. I also bought and installed this unit at my parents home, and under same conditions, have the exact same issues. Not sure I would purchase again until Ring improves their wifi signal and software problems.
