Great intelligent notifications for animal, person, vehicle. The accompanying phone app is great and the ring subscription is also cost-effective. Charging the battery takes some time so i recommend having a second one handy or getting the solar charger.

Decent camera and system

Had it on and old house, move to another and got a new one, and bought another one for a friend. Not exactly sure what the difference is between the different models, but the new generation works better with my doorbell. Previous gen had issues with my doorbell so had to rely on the chime, this one does just fine.

Upon the initial setup I did have poor signal which caused some "blank" images. Moving my router fixed the issue. I reached out to Ring and they were very helpful. They recommend you have the device within 20 ft of the router. If you want to go more, I recommend an extender or the Ring Chime Pro which acts as an extender.
