Doesn't signal to my phone or Alexa Show as fast or reliably as I would prefer. Motion detector works great, camera is very clear and doesn't falsely trigger. Easy to install. Would purchase again.

Love this Ring Camera Doorbell! Stays connected, easy setup. Battery lasts a couple months before having to recharge.

At first we had a lot of issues with it. It wouldn't pick up the person until they were walking away or at times it wouldn't pick up the motion of my son dancing in front of it. But it would pick up cars passing by! Called Tech support and it did get better. The other issue is that during the day the sun affects it because sometimes when it picks up motion and we view it, it is bright and then fades to where you can see who it is. It has gotten better, not sure if it has to do with the updates they make on the app. Get it, try it out and if you don't like it, return it.

The camera itself is great, picture quality is excellent. I already have a camera that points towards the front door, but with the Ring you get get a close up, clear view. The downside is that the program that you download for the smartphone takes a little while to get used to, wouldn't call it user friendly. Additionally, in order to continue to get saved video, you have to pay $3 a month for basic service after a free 30 day trial. You also have to buy a separate door chime for the inside of your house to hear when the doorbell is pressed, the fact it's not included is ridiculous. The monthly fee isn't much, the chime isn't either...but it's somewhat annoying that yet again, a product isn't what it appears to be.

Easy install and connection with WiFi. Recommend the chime with the WiFi extender as it does help get a stronger signal to the doorbell. Don’t think, however, it will help extend WiFi to the non “Ring” products...it won’t and not designed to do so. A worthwhile purchase I unfortunately have to recommend in this less than civilized world.

buying this will give you peace of mind when it comes to home security, it has a very good views, great picture, easy install and hook up!! go get one!!

Great battery life. Motion sensor is a little weird though. Even though I’ve adjusted the range, it’ll still pick up cars in the street better than someone right in front of my door waving at the camera.

The door bell takes surprisingly high quality video. I use it running on battery and it lasts a very long time. So happy with this purchase.

I did have some issues with my 1st Ring but the replacement is great. Easy setup. Nice that all tools needed to install the device are included. Lots of support info. Video is very clear. When I had issues with original Ring, support was super as was Best Buy! Battery takes awhile to fully charge. I purchased a solar panel (Amazon) rather than spare battery...still testing but seems ok. (NOTE: solar panel does not charge up a low battery but supposedly will maintain nearly full charge once set up. Too soon to tell yet if this works). Really like the local crime watch video info too.

Easy to install and use. Plan on getting flood/cameras too. I do wish the sensors were better. I set detection to about 6 feet but i still get motion alerts from cars driving in the street 60 feet away.

I love my Ring door bell. The camera has a perriferial vision of 160 degrees and is clear as a bell day or night. Has options to set up to your personal preferences.

Ok so I accidently bought the wired version of this doorbell and came to find out I had no wiring. So I gave this a go and it works very well and the battery lasts long enough for me to deal with having this doorbell up I mean at least 3 months if not longer. The motion zone for a busy street is actually pretty intuitive in my opinion. I'm glad I waited to review this as I've only grown to love it more. I wound up putting this on my back door to my house as I wanted an extra layer of security or cam take your pick. My only real gripe is the speaker is very hard to hear when talking with someone.

I purchased the Ring Video Doorbell 2 since I've seen them pretty regularly around town. I needed to be able to respond to people when I wasn't near the door. Having a video doorbell seemed like the perfect solution. The video image is great and it works well. The two gripes that I have are that the battery drains more quickly than I would've thought and I don't always have time to recharge it. It would be better to have a hard-wired solution, but that wasn't possible where I am. The second gripe is that you have to subscribe to the service in order to review events during the day. Overall, though, it is a good video doorbell.
