The battery on my first ring stopped charging so I bought this one. The biggest issue with the first one is that it senses passing cars A LOT. Spent time with customer support and told me to keep adjusting the range until I find the sweet spot. A big lie as I spoke to a couple of friends and coworkers if they have the same issue and they do. They tried to address it by asking you in the app if you are facing the street and adjust the range so it doesn't sense passing cars. It's not as bad as the first Ring but it still happens. Not as annoying and definitely better. The video delay has been improved as well. Sans the passing car issue, I would be adding another star.

I've liked the Ring since I got it, but it was headed for a four star review. Too many false positives, to the point where my phone was going off multiple times an hour when the afternoon sun cast shadows across my yard. A recent update fixed this issue, and I've only had 2 false positives over the past few weeks. The Ring video doorbell is part convenience, part deterrent, and 100% worth a purchase. The fact that it performs BETTER than when I bought it tells me this is a company that deserves my business.

So easy to setup. I feel safer with this. I can see what’s going on anytime and hear and talk. This is a must have. The neighbor safety alerts are great!

This was easy to set up. Handy to have the ability to see what’s going on. The shape wasn’t great for attaching to our home on the siding.

We got this so we can see who comes to our door and make sure we don't have any sneaky unwanted guests going through our cars.

The installation process is very well explained and easy to complete. Detailed explanation and illustrations on how to locate and wire the new video doorbell with an pre existing wired doorbell. Great coverage as well of the camera and clear explanation of the correct positioning to gain the most coverage of the camera. Great comfort created by the accessibility of the camera by way of monitoring on I Phone. Even to the extent that should something happen to an neighbor, could help to discern identity of that perpetrator .

Great doorbell I received this doorbell as a gift not knowing exactly what to expect I did a little research and this has been the best gift this doorbell Has been a blessing to me I receive so many packages and having this bell takes away the fear of having them taken from my porch I am very familiar with my delivery person so whenever I’m not home and they press the doorbell I could just tell them where to leave the package this doorbell keeps me up-to-date of the crime that’s going on in my neighborhood I think everyone should own a ring doorbell

The ring doorbell is actually a very nice product. It is helpful because sometimes I’ll be away at work and when a package is delivered I’m able to thank the delivery guy. This is a savior, I appreciate how good the quality of the camera is. It is good enough where it can recognize a face, thankfully I haven’t had any break-ins so it hasn’t had to be used for such an instance. All in all, I would recommend this product for everyone so you can have an extra measure of security.

Great video quality in both day light and at the night. Easy to control and view the recordings/live from the smartphone app.

Quick and easy installation. Great picture, works well. Installed wirelessly so I got the Ring Chime so I could hear the doorbell ring in the house.

Work like describe.great camera,always capture who is in front of your door. You don't have to ring the doorbell to be see on the phone

If you're a homeowner that lives on a busy street or somewhere that doesn't have a ton of "eyes" in the neighborhood, you absolutely NEED a RING. Alerts immediately to your smartphone when someone's at the door, or depending on your camera angles, can alert you to any movement whatsoever. This has stopped so many mail thefts or package thefts when UPS/FedEx are forced to leave your deliveries on doorsteps. The built in camera and mic allow you to converse with people on your doorstep. It's absolutely fabulous & a MUST HAVE for homeowners.

Easy to install and set up. Works great and great security for front door. Had it for almost a year and have had no problems.

Got this on sale. I’d say it’s worth it. The video quality is great, and installation was fairly easy. Make sure you buy the chime to go with it.

I bought this as a gift for my parents because they constantly have packages arriving at there house and comes in handy to see if a package has arrived or not. Perfect for making sure packages don't get stolen or also if no one is home and package needs a signature you can just speak to the delivery driver notifying them its ok to drop off or store it somewhere. The only problem we have with it, is that sometimes not all the time the camera notifies you a little late when it comes to motion detection. We have fiber internet so the fastest out there and sometimes the notifications come a little late, but still captures everything in the recording

This is a good doorbell/camera. Works well with Amazon Alexa and combined with an Echo Show it’s pretty cool way to keep tract on the front door. However, be aware of the monthly fee that will come with it after having it for a month, if you want all the features that it had out of the box. Classic bait and switch done by companies. In the end, as long as you’re aware there is a monthly fee that goes along with paying a higher price for this then other brands then you’ll enjoy it. Good product.

Great stuff easy to use and install. Comes with tools and other supplies you need for different installs. Gives me a little peace of mind

This is so much more than a doorbell, it's peace of mind. It will alert you when someone unannounced comes to your door, depending on position it will also keep an eye on your car if it's near your front door. It can work with a lithium battery or hardwired. I'm no electrician but I was able to do it all by myself. It has a feature that keeps you aware of things happening in your neighborhood and the surrounding towns. There are other lights and cameras that will work together. It's worth every penny.

So far the ring has been great. Easy to install. Good picture and voice clarity. Nice to be able to see what’s going on in the front of your home.
